baxter & duk duk's special friday matinee feature: weenie reindeer games :)

dear diary,
next week is thanksgiving week and as might imagine we will be very busy being thankful and eating and entertaining family and stuff so please do not worry if we are not posting regularly or responding very quickly. also, i am stilll washing cooties off myself from cassie's relatively brief but incredibly stinky visit, so there is that. but anyhow, even though we might still be posting a little next week, me and duk duk thought it might be nice to leave u with an officially awesome video we just made which we are sure u will want to watch with the sound on over and over again during next week's comedy drought. plus it has a very special announcement at the end. 

oh and if u were wondering, we hope to have a few goodies for cyber brown wednesday but we may not have a lot of time to preannounce what it will be so stay tuned because there will probably be ninjadoots! okay, me and duk duk need to pick up lil pink puppy and lulu the tiger from chukky poops so i will write u later and i hope u have a very good weekend. :)

no, mom, i do not know how it got this way at all..

and i do see how u might think that these are ferocious chomp marks. but as u know, there are many tools here that could easily make those marks. and u know that i know u know i know u know i know better, so that pretty much rules me out, dontchoo think?

and besides, even if a wolf really did have anything to do with it, i am sure he would be very very sorry. :)

mega sunday teeny christmas weenie tree doot :)

hee hee yeppies, mom, in addition to our classic teeny weenies on glittery snow covered birch slab base in tiny double and single tree style in either pretty natural or festive green colors, me and duk duk made the more of the biggie smalls tree and we even expanded our selection of super adorable modern leather wrapped block bases and we even have a few double weenie ones too! and u can choose the topper u want and in addition to being able to add ornaments, for the biggie smalls we are thinking maybe u can choose to add a poop on the stoop and everything! well, probably - me and duk duk have a lot to do before our sunday doot at nine pm eastern standard time. and it might take us a little while to fill orders bc the trees are customizable, but do not worry we will promise we will fill each and every order so that way we can take it easy the week of thanksgiving :)

well needless to say, our halloween trick or treating was a super success and we ate so much candy that we are still buzzing these many days later! this was actually a very beneficial thing as it would turn out, because me and duk duk are getting so much done.  like for instance, how we are going to post a whole sixteen special dooty doot items today at 10:30 AM EST.  some of them u already sort of know about if u follow us on instygram or facebook, but here we will give u a special peek at all the items and tell u a little more about them so u can be on the lookout.

1) Puppy blankie play mats: When I was little and just adopted, my mom made me a special me-sized blankie play mat.  She spread it out in a very special quiet place where she promised nobuddy would bother me or take my toys away or anything.  There I would get special delicious snackies  and I could play for as long as I wanted to.  Needless to say it became a very special spot.  Even now as I am turning into a ferocious wolf and have like, a million beds and blankies, if I get or find something super terrific on the floor, u can pretty much count on seeing me make a jaunty beeline to my special place to be with it on my special blankie.  Anyway, while we were thinking of how to help other doxies in need this year, me and duk duk  realized there might be other little wolves out there who might appreciate a special blankie play mat, too, and so we decided to donate all the profits from the three blankies we will be posting today to Sophia's Grace Foundation for Dachshund Rescue. Please be sure to look at each listing even if u do not need a blankie because me and duk duk think we did a pretty good job with the saleswolfship, if we do say so ourselves.

 2) Funky Monkey Pilgrim Party Hats! Yeppies, thanksgiving is an often overlooked holiday and me and duk duk thought it was time to correct that with new hats for seven lucky and exceptional thinkers and stinkers.  They go on pretty much the way u put on our birthday hats with the adjustable double chin strap design, only u wear them hopefully while u r standing in front of a giant plate of turkey or at least stuffing or at least a big bowl of snackies.

3)  Mixed Media Dachshund Brooches: Here is a peek at all of them and how they will be numbered for the posts.

 

This little fella is nakey and on the back is a duk with plenty of space for u to quack your own tiny secret message.

This girly cameo still knows how to party, cuz, u know, #smelledit. :)

This little nakey fella loves to fetch ballies, and pretty much everything else he finds on the floor. :)

 

This sweet little red is a bringer of joy, which shall be to all people. 

 

This dapper cameo also has space on back for a secret tiny message, because maybe u want to remember something or someone or just want to make someone smile.

and last but not least, a nakey doxie puppy, running as fast as he can, so he can pee on the tallest tree.

hee hee, i thought she'd never leave. wait, is she gone? okay good.  i did not want to say it in front of her, but these teeny weenie helping houston texas trees we asked mom to make on short notice turned out even better than i expected! i mean, it's got all the adorableness of our other teenie weenie trees, and it's got all the awesomeness that u would expect out of something that might cost a little more but they are meant for a special cause. i mean, the three piece, glove soft,  hand cut, full leather wrap that makes up the texas state flag on the block base?  the tiny hand dyed indigo blue trees with even tinier texas star tree toppers on top?  the classic teeny weenie we designed with tiny red swarovski crystal nose standing ferociously atop an iridescent glittery snow surface? the hand branded logo that we designed on the bottom?  the pearly-descent stars we punched and carefully placed on the flag? all the tiny touches really add up to some one of a kind awesome, don't they, duk duk?

 yeah, i know. my tummy is already rumbling at me for donating our gummy worms to help buy supplies for these trees. but just think, we could have donated our gummy worms directly, but by investing them  in supplies and turning them into these trees, hopefully people will buy them and we can multiply the amount we can donate! and, it's a win win all around because not only will people know they are helping a good cause, but they will be getting something really awesome that they can keep or maybe even give to another friend, u know, to pass along the smile favor. and if that person lives in texas or is from texas, why, even better, right?

anyhow, i hope our friends can remember to mark their calendars for - wait, when did we say again? oh yeah, saturday the 23rd at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard time. but i hope they can remember if they are interested or pass the word along because we only made like fifteen of them plus or minus what a wolf might have chomped on because, well, u know, that's what a mom gets when a wolf finds things at wolf height and he thinks he is being helpful by bringing it to her only by the time he brings it to her there are pretty much chomp marks all over it. because that's what wolves do. :)

interview with an artist wolf and artist falcon

hee hee hee, well mom lady interviewer, that is a very good question. i think duk duk would agree with me in saying that we think that people will be pleasantly surprised by the delicate balance of richness and restraint we used and the vibrant subtlety of the work we created for our very first fine art fair. we want our work to challenge the viewer, yet also charm them, and sometimes secretly, sometimes not so secretly, take them to their happy place. to that end, me and duk duk focused primarily on four different themes for this show.

what's that? oh no i am sorry, to maintain the joys of surprise, we cannot specifically share theme specifics nor will we preview all our fartwork now, but i can tell you we hope the themes capture the essence of nostalgia and beauty through our use of carefully selected imagery, materials, and color. as conceived and imagined by a wolf and falcon, of course. next question?

yes, i can see how one might think that, but nopies, there may some sly references to it, but with this series of fartworks we also wanted to challenge ourselves and as such there is no direct depiction of it. visual metaphors maybe. but yes i can say with absolute certainty there is no literal depiction of poopie in our work for this show. besides, that is what cyber brown wednesday is for.

how many pieces for the fair? oh, um, hmm. i think maybe 13 or 14, right, duk duk? it really depends on if we can get the kind of bubble gum remover that wont eat thru canvas if u know what i mean. what?? no, mom, okay, i know u told us we could not chew bubble gum inside but taking away our wii for three weeks is hardly commensur- um, yeah okay okay, duk duk, i agree. can we please get back to the interview, professional lady miss interviewer?

okay, yes, we decided we really like the look and feel of small but chunky canvas so that is what we used as the base for most of our fair fartwork. and we finished the sides and put hangers on the back and everything so no additional framing is needed. our biggest piece is hmmm...8x8 inches and then smallest is 3x3 and most are a nice 1 3/4 inches deep. like i said, chunky. meaty, like my rumpty dumpty.

oh yes, a great last question. our summer pop up cyber fart fair starts this friday at 10:00 am est. only at kalyxcraftopia. thank you for interviewing us and we hope 2 smell u there bc we think you will really like it. oh and here is one of our supercool fartfair posters. :)

yeah i know! i mean, could we be any more geniuser with this project? here we are not having to ready any more of those kissy books, having fun making supercool fine art from stuff we have on hand, and when we finish, we can put it all in mom's etsy shop and host the kind of summer art fair even we can attend, because nobuddy overheats while shopping online like they would if they were outside shopping in all this danger heat.

oh ps do not tell mom but i am really glad she took us to the art museum last week. it was really quite inspiring, wasn't it? all the styles and textures and colors. all the details and sometimes lack thereof. i really think as a wolf and a falcon we have something original and awesome to say thru our art, dontchoo? okay okay enough talking more arting..

i mean, just look at them.  the colors remind me of the delicious macarons madwilly made when she visited us. or, jelly beans! u know, not the big yucky spice ones, but the tiny jelly bird eggs - like the ones we helped dad eat up, like, weeks ago.... hee hee, yeah i do not know what mom was thinking buying them so early.   dad found the bag and poof! well, yeah, i mean we helped too, obviously... 

what's that? well, i guess we could tell her cuz she is never going to find something that is not there anymore. but i am kind of enjoying just waiting and looking at books before they are adopted, arentchoo, duk duk? besides, once mom comes back empty handed, well, lets just say i hope she asks dad about it so he is the first to crack. if they have 2 be replaced, dad's allowance is like, way bigger than ours. 

 
oooo,  okay, i know these are really awesome tiny handmade books perfect for secrets or things u want to really remember forever, but, they also kind of remind me of the petit fours we did not make in home ec. remember? cuz teacher took off points because she said poopie snake is not recognized petit four shape.  and then she took off more points because we iced all ours brown and dark yellow and not a single one of them had a girly flower on them.  hee hee, they were still delicious though, just like these i bet would be if cuteness were a thing u could eat.

hee hee hee, they are so tiny and small! i mean, they would make super little tiny presents for easter and are perfect for, well u know, drawing tiny pictures or keeping secrets or writing big tiny memories in them, dontchoo think, duk duk? 

 

hee hee, yeppies, i guess u r right.  we should really get on with our work if we are going to get them listed by this thursday 4/6 at 8:00PM EST.  but first thing's first, it's time for a snackie, dontchoo think?:)

hee hee, yeppies i am happy how our swirly glitter weenies all came out too, duk duk.  

what a stroke of luck that chocobot and his unicorn friends decided to have their pre-easter eatsterparty at our heat cave the other week.  i mean, we both know that chocobot can really make a massive pile but who knew that a group of unicorns can make like, literally an olympus-sized mountain glittery poop. and in all sorts of colors too. yeppies, even our museum was not going to be able to hold that much. we were really lucky they used their magic to help us bottle some for our swirly weenies, weren't we? 

my favorite combination? well, i surprise myself by saying this, but i am not sure i have just one.  i mean, on the one paw or wing, u have the chocolatey poopie brown series, and they are all actually very pretty - not just the poopie gold and browns glitter mix which everybuddy pretty much knows i would like, but the other ones too - falcony greens and blues, and even cootieful pinks and reds. those combinations we made all go nicely with the brown they way grass and tomatoes do when show up on the back end if u know what i mean.

and,  on the other paw - no wing - we have the princessy purple series, with your choice of unicorn purples and holographic glitter, falcony greens and blues, and of course cootieful pinks and reds.  i just want to swirl them all and stare at them forever, dontchoo, duk duk?  what's that, oh right.  sorry mom 2 keep u waiting. let me go ahead and finish getting ready so we can get this photo party started and get everything ready to post for this Wednesday. it'll only take me a minute, mom.... (shuffle , shuffle)...okay that's on nice n snug.

now one last thing. i think i have my lines pretty much memorized, but, duk duk, if u would just hand me my script, we can tape them to the back here where i can see them if i need a remin-

i am so happy about all our new spring goodies,  i do not even know where to begin! well, okay, maybe i should begin with the super cool new cards me and duk duk have just added to mom's etsy shop.  because guess what, we just added 5 new cards and 60 percent of them have 100 percent of my tushie on them! and this time,  mom even let us come up with our very own, way much more practical slogans on them.  u know, like this one, from our important reminders in life series. always take time to smell the swirlies. 

we even made a mooshy love card for that special someone in your life, because valentine's day should not be the only day u tell your loved one how much they smell.  and, our last new tushie card, is a smello card. i only wish we could have made it scratch and sniff, but i guess that is a project for future me and duk duk.

hee hee, okay okay, u got me, duk duk. but i cannot help it if they are wet.  it is the price a wolf must pay for digging in the back yard. and yes, mom thinks i need a nail job but let's not remind her, okay, dukkie who did u know what u know where but mom has not found out yet? anyhoo, i sure am glad auntie robin showed us how to do coptic book binding last week during her visit, dontchoo, duk duk?

i mean, the results speak for themselves really. and whoda thunk that the scraps mom let us use, and the old benjy thrifty store book mom let us cut up, and the papers from the scrap exchange, well, i mean whoda thunk that all that stuff would make the perfect size book for o, u know, tiny journaling, or for keeping secrets like our passwords, or well anything really.  plus u do not have to worry about mysterioso battery power drain like it still seems to be the case with our iphoneys.  yeah, that really stunk when my iphoney died before i could get that picture. i mean it had to be the biggest pile of - hang on i think i hear mom..

yes, mother, we are putting the last finishing touches on them now and i promise we will post them to etsy before we go to toyfriend cl-, i mean,  before we go out to the creek for our study group. okay, have fun at the grocery store and if u do not mind can u please pick up some puppy bites for lil pink puppy? i forgot to get it yesterday and lil pink puppy is almost out and u know how he gets if we feed him gummy worms.   bye bye, we love u too...

oh yes, i am so glad our new letter stamping kit came finally. because really, even when the pages of a book are blank, it still deserves a title, right? that way in case u r having a hard time coming up with the words inside, the title is always there to inspire.
