lesson of the day :)

The naughty puppy ignored his mother's call and dallied outside,
barking at noises and sniffing at bugs,
until finally the naughty puppy decided himself
 that he was ready
 to go back inside.

"oh snap," the puppy cried while he stood at the door,

spying into the house, a tiny red tomato too delicious for words.

It was a treat for the little puppy, if only he had not wanted to play some more.

"surely there is a lesson, a lesson to be learned,
something i should remember, in my memory to be burned ."

The puppy stood staring, his mind all a whirl,
until finally it hit him, like three kinds of butters...

"next time, silly puppy, bring glass cutters!"

my friend pretzel :)

dear diary,
our plan to skip school was going along pretty well until lunchtime, when it became very obvious that neither of us wanted to eat acorns we collected when all we had to do was turn back into ourselves and sneak back inside to get the blender and make ourselves some monkey chow milkshakes.  which also was going along pretty well til mom followed the extension cord on out to where we were making our milkshakes and then the jig was up.  and now not only do we have to rewrite our walrus report but we have to write teacher a note explaining why we missed school and also apologize for being so difficult (mom's words not ours because really, it was not so hard doing what we did).  oh, and some other stuff but i forget right now and i am sure mom will remind me.

anyhoo, in some ways i am glad we turned back into ourselves and will go back to school, because later that day, i ran into my friend preztel, and  he said that auditions for the glee club are going to start next week, which means really really need to put the pedal to the metal and work on my new routine. and order my tap shoes.

well diary, i guess that is all for now because me and duk duk have to go work on our walrus report. again.

toodleydoo!

dapper doxie duds: four poops and a wedding

chugga chugga chugga chugga! woo wooo!
skreeeeeee - stop the train!! looky duk duk, mom finished frank's dud!!

it's got a happening bowtie and everything because frank is going to be the best dog at his mom's wedding.

and it's got double double welted pockets with secret snap closures to keep his mom and dad's wedding bands safe while he walks down the aisle!

gee, it's too bad i cannot help mom model it today on accout of us turning ourselves into tiny plastic toys so we could skip school. but even if i could, it is so small that i would only be able to wear it on my head. but maybe if we are lucky frank's mom will send us a picture of him wearing it on their big day, right duk duk?  oooh, i know - even though i cannot help her in the way i normally do, maybe we can help package it up for her! let's do that,  and then go outside to play before it is time to pick up chocobot and lulu the tiger and lil pink puppy.  now that we are small, i bet our poopie snakes will look ginormous!

(to be continued... :) )

...hee hee, and that's number four!

(blink blink)

well duk duk,  i am really stymied as to what more we can say now.

and i guess we should really think of something since teacher said our report is due today and there is room for one more thing. but sheesh, we should not have to start reading this entire book now, just for one little factootytoid.

hmmmmm...hmmmmmmm...

hey! are u thinking what i am thinking, duk duk?

(ka-ka-ka-pwingg!)

hee hee, ooh looky - this time we are made of teeny tiny blue plastic! we are so small,  nobuddy will even notice us skipping school.  we could play at the creek and do all sorts of fun stuff today!

hee hee, unlike last time when we turned ourselves into wood and had to stand on display all day.  and all for nuttin too. i mean,  sheesh,  whoda thunk we would have a teacher work day so early in the school year?? anyway...

hey,  howboutchoo hop on, lemme get rid of these glasses, and...

choo choo! all aboard!  the baxter and duk duk skippy school xpress is leaving the - oh, wait, hang on a sec...

pardon me, if u see chocobot, lulu the tiger, or lil pink puppy at school today, can you please tell them that we will still pick them up at three pm sharp but meet us by the shrubs behind the swingset that u cannot see from teacher's window?? thank u and smell u later!! :)

hee hee, choo chooo! chugga chugga chugga chugga! choo chooo! chugga chugga chugga chugga! choo choo! chugga chugga chugga chugg- hey,  i smelled that! no u quit it i can hardly breathe in here! choo choo!....

we chosen few

In the grand scheme of things, not many of us know the pleasure of being almost pushed out of bed during the night by a stubby legged little bed hog.  Nor do many of us know the joy of waking up alongside one so eager to sniff our morning breath, and start their happy go lucky day with a mighty stretch.

We are the chosen few, those of us chosen to be loved by four legged little sausagey boys and girls. And we are forever spellbound . :)

baxter and duk duk's nitey nite bedtime tales: dedicated to lulu, the little kielbasa helps a bunny (part 4)

Before our story begins tonight, me and duk duk just wanted to say that tonight's story is dedicated to the memory our friend Lulu, who passed away today without our even being able to say good nitey nite one last time.  Until we can say hello again, good friend, know that we will miss you very much, and that you can watch from above all the secret toyfriend clubs u want, without even having to stand over there.   ♥

(sniffle sniffle).  Okay,  on with our story...

"Strik's in trouble, Pussycat!" barked the Little Kielbasa. "He is trapped with his cousins inside their cage and if he does not get out soon, our pancake and salad party will totally not be happening. Please come with me to Farmer Wells's farm!! Oh, and bring your gas mask, because the air is pretty thick if u know what I mean."

Ooooh look at that, duk duk! Pussycat's got some skills.  If he were real I think we would totally offer him some gummy worms to help us get into the pantry so we can get more gummy worms! Oh, okay, so on with the story...

Pussycat elegantly opened the cage, striking a pose so the Little Kielbasa could take a picture with a camera that made a klink sound when he pressed the button.  Strik the bunny hopped out, happy until  he looked down at his paw watch and saw that now the big hand was on the eleven and the little hand on the five.  "Well, Little Kielbasa, there are only five minutes left until Bugs Bunny is on. How bout we go down to the lake and do a few cannonballs instead?" "Sure, Strik, and maybe while we are down there I can show you how to make underwater bubbles!"  The End!

Well boys and girls, I am sorry but that is the end of our bedtime story.  I hope you enjoyed hearing it as much as we enjoyed reading it.  Good night my friends, and to Lulu and her mom. :)
