scent of a bunny
hunt, or hunt not. there is no hi.
- baxter, 6.4 years old, far too busy to pause for pictures on what became a very busy bunny filled late afternoon.
Our first sunny day of the week was Friday, and though it was looking to shape up as just another happy go lucky day for tiny chumley digging walrus holes , mother nature stepped in and turned up the volume tenfold. Bunnies. Running into our yard in broad daylight. And actually, running out of our yard before I could get mister freshly washed paws back out from inside the house soon enough. But the scent was all he needed to keep busy, rooting around and running running running, til the sun sank so low that it was time for tiny chumley to call it a day. Or I should say, a very, very, very good day. :)

I want the walrus
well, mom, maybe if you and dad loaned me and duk duk the money now, we could buy our walrus and keep him in the bathtub until we are finished digging a hole big enough for him to live in the backyard. i am pretty sure we would pay you back in only six easy monthly installments, four if you do not mind receiving part of the payback in a mix of poopie snake annuities and glitter bars. and besides, nobuddy is using the hall bath anyways. we would not even know he was here. :) :)

etsy fresh: pip pip congratulations graduation card
Well ello ello ello! It's me, Baxter Enrique Longfoofieshanks, esquire, here speaking to yous in me best British accent because oi wants to tell you and all me mates about a very special card that oi've just put in me mum's Etsy shop. It's a congratulations card, but not just any congratulations card, mind you, but one for very special occasions. The kind that can make a fella or a loidy want to shout, "Gadzooks, you did it - that's absolutely fabulous! egad and pip pip ol man (or girl)! and you even managed without the aid of a lucky unicorn. i'm over the moon!" Only you see, as an aspiring British gentleman, oi came across a word for that that Brits use all the time, and it's "brilliant". Which is wonderful because oi didn't really have enough space on the front of the card to say all that. So anyhoos, oi hope you enjoy this card or can think of someone ooo might, loik say a recent graduate from school or someone ooo just made an addition to their family, or maybe that special someone ooo just moide their longest poopie snoike ever. All these occasions and more, all deserving of a nice pat on the head and a big big "well done!". Well, that's all for now cuz oi think it's time to do a little celebratin fer me own, roit? Ave a good day me mates! :)

dapper doxie duds: fun for a girl not a boy
Hello my friends it's me, Baxter, your roving rover reporter! Well okay, THAT's not me, that's my friend Tilly!
You know, my friend Tucker's sister. Tucker the LSU fan? And lucky for Tucker she is his sister otherwise I am sure he would be all cootied up by now, if this picture their mom sent is any indication of how well they get along.
Anyhoo, I am sure u noticed that Tilly is a little nakey nakey and that's because she has been waiting for a nice new dapper doxie dud. Wonk-waaaaah. But she does not have to wait anymore because hooray, looky at what my mom just finished! Yup, Tilly's very first dud is made from a sweet and soothing smoky blue and taupe gingham cotton and it is embellished with happy rick rack and super spring summery cherry blossom trim and a snackie pocket complete with a hand beaded button and ribbon flower! Super cool right? For a girl I mean...
...well, even though it is really comfortable and fits me pretty well, and oh it is so nice and warm on the bed here in the sun and (yawn)..this is the first time the sun has come out in like, hours, so I um...excuse me for a minute - mooom, can u please take tilly's dud off me so i can take a nappy poo, and maybe do a little tummy tan-...what? okay okay i will finish my report first but then can u please take this off and..no it's duk duk's turn to do that i did it yesterday! okay okay let me finish here first ...so anyhoo my friends, I hope you enjoyed this peekypoo at Tilly's new duds. This is Baxter your sleepy roving rover reporter wishing you a very toot-teriffic Tuesday! :)

window barking
The pretty lace curtains I had scored at the thrift store were proving to be a small disappointment when I hung them and found them bit short for our window, til a certain little someone wandered up and showed me that things were exactly as they were meant to be.
see, mom, now u can close the curtains and i can still bark - i mean see outside! :) :)

basic instinct
I'll never forget the day it clicked for the little kielbasa. The day I was moving stepping stones and tiny chumley just happened to amble up to see what was going on. The day he saw me digging a new spot for a stone, and realized that he could help me too, just by moving one paw in front of the other. A giant lightbulb turned on in tiny chumley's head that day, and it has been burning brightly ever since.
Baxter's latest masterpiece is taking on an interesting form to say the least. Bound on one side by a rather large root, and bound on the other by me sitting on a stool, waiting with garden clippers to help him with tiny roots, his latest endeavor is shaping up to become a deep trench, the purpose for which at least for me is still unknown, although his trench is conveniently near the birdfeeder and next to the tree that thieving squirrels often jump on when Baxter spies them stealing tasty seeds from his birdfeeder. I wish his little eyes could tell me exactly what he plans to do with this hole, but right now, all I can settle for is being told when it is that I should go in with my clippers and cut some roots, so his little busy paws can bulldoze them away. :)

dapper doxie duds: tip toe thru the cherry blossoms
Hey, it's me, Baxter, your roving rover reporter, reporting to you today from my mom's studio where it is apparently raining cherry blossoms. Yep that's right, pretty cherry blossoms! Only these are not the messy real kind, but rather the kind u wear on happy spring days when u want to skip in the park with your friends or have giggle parties or whatever it is girls do, because this cherry blossom dud is for my friend Moxie. I like it because not only is it very happy and festive but very simple and clean, and best of all, there is no flower stink.

In fact, the only thing I do not like about it is that it will not fit me. But it will fit Moxie and that is what counts most, right?
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoyed this peekypoo at Moxie's dud. This is Baxter your roving rover reporter, wishing you a skippy and toot-terrific Tuesday!! :)

due bunny
Baxter is actually pretty good on his leash for walkies, following us wherever we want to go. But sometimes, especially when the smells of spring beckon ever so alluringly, a little doxie just knows exactly where he wants to go.

Hooray, just in time for Mother's Day! Sometime this weekend I promise I'll be loading the happy litter of doxie necklaces I just finished to the kalyxcraftopia Etsy shop, but I couldn't wait to share a picture of the finished little goodies.
gee, mom, i know i said i really wanted to keep you company when it would be safe to do so while you are here in the garage, but, well, now thatchoo gave me a busy bone, may i please go inside now? i think i would enjoy this much more if i do not have to worry about the hawks and crows stealing it from me :) :)

the tiger sleeps tonight :)
wow, duk duk, for a tiger he sure is friendly. yeah, i cannot believe he does not have home yet either. i guess that is why he let us catch him. tigers are usually pretty tricky when they are not eating their frosty flakes. it is too bad we are going to have to untie him and let him go. mom said we already foofie too much and unless mister tiger starts to learn english and eats less meat and more grain, well, let's just say every day is going to be stinko de mayo around here and we already have to beg mom just to celebrate it one day a -
...year. but..tee hee, that tickles a little! well, i suppose we could ask her anyway and maybe he could come to school with us to learn non-foofieous forms of communication..oooh dat's nice...
(bup fweet buh squeeEEEeeeEEEEE)..and maybe if we promise mom to always do our chores without being reminded, and that we will not play guess whose foofie inside anymore...
(bup fweet buh squeeEEEeeeEEEEE)..and maybe if we promise mom to always do our chores without being reminded, and that we will not play guess whose foofie inside anymore...
only, there is already a mister tiger at school. we probably need to find u a new name...
oh i know! (mister tiger, floot ploopy pssssssseeeoooo pip foofa foof eeeeooop. buh blap blappy puht puht , lulu?)
