dear diary,
well yesterday was me n duk duk's first day back to school and already i can tell that this school year is going to be a doozy.  on the plus side, my locker is nowhere near duk duk's this year, which is fine by me on account of the leaky bucket of worms he likes to bring for lunch every day but i really feel sorry for his locker neighbors if they do not line their lockers with garbage bags like i always had to do. to, u know, prevent the seepage from messing up your books and getting all over your chipscout uniform and maybe your wii that u managed to bring even though, well, you know.

anyhoo, on the not so plus side, already the teachers are already assigning us homework and can you believe we are even going to have a botany quiz tomorrow? so it is for this reason that i must cut my diary entry short because everybuddy knows the first grade u get is the grade u pretty much keep thru the entire semester and if we do well on the quiz then hopefully me and duk duk can go back to not studying and going straight to watching shaggy n scooby doo's mystery magic power hour with chocobot n lil pink puppy when we get home from school and then everything will be just the way we like it.  oops, time to get back to my after school snackie and studying - wish me luck!! :)

constant craving

dear diary,
do u ever have days when school is almost ready to start you look back and realize maybe you should have spent less time during your summer vacation eating gummy worms and playing on the wii and maybe like, more time developing your super boy wonder skills?  skills like,  you know, being able to leap tall poopie piles in a single bound, or, well, being able to blow out fires with a single foofie. or say, having developed your extra special mind force gravity ray to bend the laws of physics and u know, pull things toward you.  things like, oh, the  tasty looking oh so tempting home grown tomatoes in the big pan of vegetables that are so very close yet so very far away from you?  yeah, i had one of those days yesterday.  but at least lucky for me, i did get to eat a yellow tomato.  and it was very very good. :)

well mom....u said i needed a new lunchy bag for school this year.  and we could fill him with kibble, or snackies, or rawhide, or monkey chow.. or gummy worms or...ooo! i know, we could fill him with all five! and there would still be room in my backpack for my scooby doo thermos, my wii and my gym clothes! :)

Hope always seem to spring eternal from little mister happy go lucky, especially when he goes out with his mom and dad for a rainy Sunday lunch and a tasty bowl of truffled mac with grilled chicken is placed only inches away from him. :)

tiny tarzan

With inconsistent rain and  temps fluctuating between the 100s and well, less than that, this summer hasn't exactly been kind to tiny chumley's little deck jungle, but that still doesn't stop him from appreciating the bounty before him.

oooh, mom, if i cannot swing off the elephant ear plant then can you please push my chair closer to my tomato plants so that i can look for something yummy to put in my tummy?  i think there is a ripe tomato just behind this basil! :)

By the time I was ready to close the curtains and shades in our bedroom for the evening, tiny chumley still felt that there were things outside his window that needed to be monitored.  And who was I to keep a little dachshund from performing his duties?  :)

me so sleepy

A bit of a head cold got me up early yesterday morning, so I figured what better way to make the most of things by waking tiny chumley up, so that we could go walkies and he could be the early dog who got chase his bunnies.   Only we didn't find any bunnies on our walkies, and no sooner did we make it back inside did the little kielbasa decide this early morning schtick was not for him.

oh me so sleeepy.  please hold my calls and reschedule my meetings for the day, wontchoo mom? :)

Most people look up to see faces in clouds, while others lucky enough to own a dachshund,  can find them closer by.

okay mario, we will be right back! me n our other guest lulu, whom u have already met from last time you stayed at the motel park n bark, just have to put on our costumes and the worldwide premiere of me n duk duk's new play, "the pirate, the princess, the dragon, and plenty of snackies - a play in three courses as told by one very awesome and very hungry pirate", will begin in five minutes! in the meanwhile, please enjoy this bugs bunny cartoon that we will play for u on the ipad and if duk duk can get u a pre-play apooperitif or some fancy cheezy poof n salmon kibble poop d'ouvres, just let him know, okay?? okay, we will be right back. 

oh, and hee hee, do not poop anywhere i would not poop! which u know, really means u can poop practically anywhere here at the motel park n bark, especially when it is wet outside.  although, i see you would be pooping in your own bowl  of water so maybe that is not the best idea if u want to see our play clearly.  so maybe if i were u i would hold it.  or skip the cheezy poof n salmon kibble poop d-ouvres, cuz, they're tasty going in thru the front but mighty wicked on the back end if u know what i mean.

say what? but lulu,  what do u mean u do not want to be the princess in our premier pirate princess dragon and plenty of snackies play for mario?  i am supposed to be the pirate because i am a boy and i have way more experience.  well, okay, i would have more experience f it wasn't so hot this summer and mom would not let me n duk duk go pirate the seven seas.  and besides, we just told our very important guest that our play will be on in five minutes and this is the world wide premiere and everyone knows princesses are always girls and ... oh pleeeeeze play the princess, wontchoo? just look at all the wonderful things chocobot and lil pink puppy made for the princess to wear!

sigh. okay, u r the guest and the show must go on. let's get dressed and go see mario...

...and that's how the poopie pothole got its name.  now ladies and gent- um, lady - if you will follow me, next on the motel park n bark tour is a pass by my friends morton and iris's house, followed by a quick scan of the yards in i-can-always-find-bunnies at houses number 3 and 4, and then,  romp thru rabbit ravine where if we are really lucky, we can find a u know what to u know what, only please remember to only go as far as the forest edge so as to not get into any poison ivy, okay? and we're walking we're walking... :)

and we will hug him and squeeze him and pet him all over :)

Hee hee, a certain little someone worked very hard to earn his snackies yesterday, though not necessarily in the way he was accustomed to earning it.

mom, even though my tummy is telling me not to say anything on account of all the snackies we are getting and it has been really nice having them over to play with me and all, well, don't the little misses sarah and julia have dolls at home that they can, u know, hug n dress up n stuff? 

happy super snackie saturday!

well..yes, mom, super snackie saturday  is a real holiday because i saw it right on our desk calendar!  and mostly, i think it is one of those holidays where u  just eat a lot of snackies and since i saw thatchoo were busy i thought u would not mind if i helped myself to a plate from the snackie jar and well since super snackie saturday is an all day holiday u know i could not just get one and so i put  another snackie on my plate and well, then i realized i could probably eat at least one an hour if i paced myself you know so i got out more and that is when i saw we still had cheezy hearts left whichoo said we were out of back when i first had to start dieting and well i did not want them to go bad and so i sprinkled those on too and well yep here is my super saturday snackie plate and like i said i do plan on eating them throughout the day but if u would like to help me i would be more than happy to share. :) :)
