It's time to play Which one of these things are not like the other?
Hey everybuddy, it's me, Baxter, and it's time to play "Which one of these things are not like the others?" Are you ready?
doo dee doo doo, doo doo doo, doo dee doo doo doot dee dee dooty doo doo!
Ding ding! Time's up! And ladies and gentlemen, if you guessed my friend Hayley on the very left is not like the rest of us, you win today's poopie snake prize - cuz she is a stinky go-stand-over-there girl and my friend Harley standing here next to me? Well, he and I are boys - stinky ones, but in the good stink sort of way like I know u already know what I mean. Although Hayley isn't too stinky for a girl which is a good thing considering Hayley is Harley's sister. :)
Well, that's it for today because it is time
to go outside and play with my new friends. I hope u have a wonderful
day because I know I will! :)

signs
Making sure you're never left behind is a 24/7 job when you're a little dachshund, and so it goes that when the signs of such a possibility might occur, sometimes the best that one can do, is stay close and catch some zzzs atop the signs themselves. :)

dapper doxie duds: the happy gent
...but pa, do mary's chores too?? but you know that nellie oleson is so mean! she's lucky i could only fit one poopie snake in her lunch bucket! oh where's that willie? i bet he's the one that tattled on me. i'm gonna give him such a pinch, fiddle dee dee. and then i'm going to make jam and climb trees and do my homework on the back of a shovel!
Hee hee, oh why hello, it's me, Baxer, your roving rover reporter, practicing a scene from our new play, Little House on the Poopie, which me and duk duk are mostly kind of making up as we go along because somedukkie left a certain book out in the rain and well let's just say the story is condensed in a whole different way than Reader's Digest would do it if you know what I mean. But anyhoo, this play would not be complete without the proper costumes and lucky for us, mom finished my friend Bernerd's first happy new dud and since he is smaller than me, well, u know the story by now, only I realized when u put it on your head backward, it's a totally prairie-ville, isn't it?
But enough about me and what I'll be doing today, here's a peeky poo at my friend Bernerd's new winter woolen dud with vintage necktie quilted embellishment, lucky squirrel charm, and hand dyed cotton interior! And if I do say so myself, it's very gent-errific, isn't it? I only wish I could fit it better because then I could have been like, Sherlock Hounds or oh I dunno, Barkaby Jones or something. But the good news at least Bernerd can be!
This is Laura Ing- I mean Baxter your roving rover reporter wishing you a very happy super Sunday! :)

a snackie in mouth is worth two on the shelf :)
The aisles of squeaky toys and pounds of kibble and snackies were barely a tail raiser for the little kielbasa at the pet store yesterday, mostly because after he weighed in, he received his own little rawhide prize, and quickly lost interest in all the tempting smells that would have been so otherwise captivating.
okay mom let's go now, no time to waste here, we can look at snackies next time, the door's this way...
With my tiny, now bulgy mouthed boyfriend anxious to make a beeline back to the safety of our car so he could indulge in rawhide bliss, I hardly had time to check out with tiny chumley's bag of kibble, much less snap the picture I had hoped to get of Baxter in saucer eyed delight as he sniffed and skipped down snackie lane. Instead, I knew I had taken several fuzzy shots of his hiney hiney, all because someone who now looked like a cheeky chipmunk hoarding nuts in one side of mouth pulled and pulled and pulled, all because someone needed some quality alone time with his new best tummy friend.
phew finally we're outside! that took forever...okay the car is this way so - hey, why - no, i don't wanna look in the- mom, can we not - mom, can we please not stop to take a picture? you already took like one too many and.... sigh, okay....cheeeezhhhh!
okay we please goto the car now??:)

get crafty: shiny happy little loafy bags :)
dear diary,
there is still much I want to learn about playing with Magic cards , but one thing i do know, somehow these bags that I helped my mom make yesterday will be very useful. or at least that is what my uncle dana says because he asked us to make them for him and his magic playing friends so they could hold a pen and some dice and, well, extra bubble gum and i guess all the other stuff u need to play magic except the cards of course, and so we did! make them I mean. and I am very excited because not only are they cool and use some of fabric samples that lulu's mom gave us (thank u again miss elizabeth! and a very u don't stink too bad for a girl hello to lulu too!) . oh but i was saying, so not only are the bags we made cool but they are loafy shaped, u know, just like me. so that way uncle dana and his friends can think of me even if i cannot be there to learn how to play!
anyhoo, i might ask mom if we can make one or two extra to take to school because me and duk duk have always wanted to save our tater tots from lunch and eat them later like Napoleon Dynamite does butchoo know since we are not allowed to wear pants we certainly cannot wear our pants with pockets and so these little loafy would be very helpful for that if u know what i mean. mmm tater tots.
toodleydoo and have a wonderful weekend!

scenes from a restaurant: an only child orders his lunch
..and so that's why u should never trust a monkey who doesn't wear pants. ooh, is it my turn to order? um, okay, missus waiteress, may i have the chicken tenders with no sauce please and a side of frenchy fries with ranchy sauce? oh and a super frooty strawberry smoothie with a swirly straw and diet whippy cream and a cherry on top! oh, and if u do not have ranchy sauce, may i please just have a side of cheezy stix instead of the frenchy fries, but with marinara sauce? but if u do not have marinara sauce then okay maybe scratch the cheezy stix and make it a double order of chicken tenders no sauce but still only one super frooty strawberry smoothie with swirly straw and diet whippy cream and a cherry on top, because i am a diet. okay? thank you i am done.
mom, i hope the lady waiter understood my order bcuz if she did she deserves a very big tip. even the lunch ladies at school do not understand dogspeak very well and sometimes when i ask for pupperoni pizza they give me pieces of pepperoni which would b okay butchoo know how i am still on a diet and pepperoni gives me gas and well, u already signed that note from teacher.
hey, u think they have booster seats here because i can hardly get my head on the table much less - ooh - i see our lunch coming! o i cannot wait to taste everything i ordered!
wait? what is this? water? water??
(grumbledy grum)
hey missus waiteress, here's a tip for you - i think u need to brush up on your dogspeak okay? i said chicken tenders no sauce with a side of hushpuppies with a side of rancy sauce and strawberry frooty smoothie with a swirly straw and diet whippy cream with a cherry on top, not plain ol water in plastic bowl!
(sigh) okay mom i will apologize. but if i am only going to have water and a kibble lunch after, may i please have a taste of your lunch then?? please??
mmmm, let's do this again next week, okay mom n dad? :)

dapper doxie duds: sporty spice monkey
Hello friends, it's me, Baxter, your roving rover reporter, reporting to you today about - yep u guessed it - another happy dud my mom just finished! This dud is for my smooth red friend Donut, who needed an everyday dud that was sporty and girly but not too girly. And so ta-daaaa - here it is - Donut's dud, which I like to call the sporty spice monkey because not only does it have the sporty outdoor material but it also has happy purpley cotton plaid and some girly velvet piping - and a super cool monkey charm that Donut picked because her nickname is monkey! Total girl power, right?
And in a pinch, Donut's dud also makes a wonderful hat for when it rains - although I hope it doesn't rain today because me n lil pink puppy totally want to do another tea party with the little misses.
Anyhoo, that is my report for today and I hope you like it and Donut's dud very much. This is Baxter your roving rover reporter - and lil pink puppy - wishing you a very happy Sunday! :)

i like tummygrams
It's been busy here as of late, the kind of busy where somepuppy's little miss neighbor friends aren't able to see their favorite four legged little boy as much as they would like. But lucky for the little kielbasa, kids are resilient, if not ever so endearingly hopeful and thoughtful. :)
yippeee - a tummygram from the little misses! you know, i was just wishing they had a facebooky so we could chat n stuff but a tummygram seems like an even better form of communication, dontchoo think, mom? :) :)

dapper doxie duds: much ado about something
but, mom, if i wear nikki's new dud on my head like this i cannot wear this pretty flower crown i found in our play closet from when me n lulu were doing our pirate skit and i think it would go very well with nikki's new dud, dontchoo think? and i think i can fit it if i hwuuup hard enough, and once i am dressed as purple princess queen of the forest, i can recite the speech i wrote, u know, so it will be an interactive modelling session. please? it will be so fun...oh yippee! okay will be right back!
(HWUUUUUUP! o thank u duk duk for helping my get my crown on...okay places everybuddy...)
"O friends and loyal subjects of the purple forest, we cometh here today to celebrate a new dud for my friend Nikki, who merrily is fond of climbing rocks and roaming the mountains of her native wilderness with her fair sister Lucy, and thus she did require a simple dud that was outdoorsy girly but not too frou frou - " (vroom, skreeeeee!)
hey wait, was that??? do u hear what I hear??
(bark bark brik brak bark bow wow wowbark bark brik brak ribba ribba bow wow) hey, up here, man in brown! yeah u know i'm barkin atchoo! (brik brik woof woof ribba ribba) i'm ruff and i'm tuff even in purple flowers and yeah just leave that package and run off now cuz i'm that scary. oh i am sorry mom, u were saying sumptin? maybe...or um, yeah. can we maybe, start this modelling session over? maybe, after i go downstairs and see what the man in brown left me? cuz well, u know, it might take a while for me to get back into character n all. :)
