A landmark decision today by the town's mayor settles the debate led by Baxter the Dachshund (shown at right in his decoy rabbit hunting outfit) on whether not rabbit season should be made year round. In press conference held earlier today, Mayor BG Bunny shared his final decision. "Not only would I not consider extending the season, I believe the season should be cancelled."
Devastated by the news, Mr Dachshund and his canine followers asked that they be left alone while they regroup and console each other during this difficult time. "Extending rabbit season was Baxter's lifelong dream of two years. How does he feel now that the mayor has betrayed him and completely cancelled the season? How do you think he feels?", rasped Baxter's longtime friend, Duk Duk. "I really don't know what Baxter will do if he isn't able to hunt rabbits. We'll just have to take it one day at a time."
