diggereedo

I suppose I will never know why it is that tiny chumley enjoys digging in the dirt, taking pause every so often to deeply inhale the freshly disturbed soil as though it were a freshly baked loaf of bread, and getting his nose so encrusted with dirt that he himself becomes the relic in need of archeological excavation.

mom, really?  a bath?  but i haven't even reached the center of the earth yet and at this rate i will never reach australia by noon 2morrow much less africa by dinner time!

There is something delicious under that soil and by gum, Baxter is going to find it! For Oskar, its usually a bit of half dried earthworm, one of the most wonderful things in his world...worth rolling in, at least.

Us kitties... we like digging in sand... but that's different... I guess.

Have a great time and let me know when you reach the center of the earth.

Linus has been busy digging to China! Or maybe it's to escape the yard and his two cousins (or to find that mouse family!)

Wow Baxter, the only thing I ever get to dig is the couch & the bed. We don't have a backyard of our own so I'm always on a leash... is it as wonderful as it looks?? I wish I could dig to Africa & Australia with you, maybe we could get ther faster if there were two of us digging:)

Good luck!!

Molly knows the secret joys of digging a hole. More than once this past week in NC I had to bodily extract her from a hole and carry her off - once she's diggin', she doesn't give up. She tears at the dirt with her teeth and paws and barks and growls at whatever warm little prey she's cornered, "Get out here you! Don't make me come in there! Cos I'll do it! You know I'll do it... Get out here right now!"

hee hee i would be happy 2 show u all i know pia but methinks molly has me beat. mostly 4 me, when i dig, i like to dig from all angles and so often i circle around and around my hold as i dig it. and i like to make sure there is a lot of dirt in the air. cuz dirt doesn't move itself u know! :) b
