ode to my paws
paws paws are a wonderful thing,
they take me places that only paws can bring.
scratching and digging and running, too.
i really recommend them, they'd be great for you.
- baxter, 2.75 years old, blissfully pooped from his two walkies yesterday.

Their fat little feet are the cutest thing ever, aren't they? I always say that if I could bottle and sell that much "cute," I'd be very wealthy.
How do you keep Baxter's toenails in shape? Do you cut or Dremel? And how often?
hi bludog! I do love a good doxie paw. how funny you should ask about Baxter's pawgiene because before I went with this post I had written a rough draft on that very topic. But I wasn't quite happy with the draft and I was getting kinda sleepy. I'll poke at it today and post it tomorrow. :) hey did you get my response on the harness? if you're interested just drop me an email and we can work out the details & specs.
Yes, those are some fine nails. When I try to groom Joey's nails, he pees in my face, so now I leave it to the pros. There's nothing worse than pee in your eye. Ok, maybe your mouth.
Our paws make a very important job, right?
2 walkies a day sounds great to me!
Kisses and hugs

Holey Moley! Joey you naughty boy ;) Baxter is jealous. He wishes he had the cojones to do something like that.
Hugs to my little Lorenza! I didn't get to walk twice today but at least I got to walk with both mom and dad!
Baxters nails look great in his photo - mine do get too long sometimes. Think I will have to get my human to get a nail file thingy that spins - maybe I will then like getting my nails done.
Dachshund Luke
Jeeves gets rather violent during the nail clipping process-long nose, long teeth, strong jaw--ouch!
With the help of a tiny muzzle, I let either the vet do it at a regular visit or at the doggy day care/kennel place. Before he comes home when I've been out of town they wash all the bedding, bathe him and clip his nails. Melinda
oh jeeves! I don't blame him. what doxie wants to spend his time getting his nails cut when he could be out and about playin" :)
From Mom: aren't doxie feet the best thing ever? We call them "frito feet". I am always sniffing Twix's feet...weird, I know. I have some strange obsessions when it comes to doxies. I just can't help myself. I've been wondering, what kind of work do you do? Do you sew for a living?
nah, sewing wouldn't be so fun if i did it for sustainable living!
