Piles of fabric have a way of magically appearing in our house out of nowhere. At first, the fabric piles in the upstairs library were small and tidy and mostly manageable. But then they started multiplying. Soon the fabric piles were joined by bags of too-cool-to-pass-up thrift store finds and ghosts of Christmas presents past. Nobody really wanted to hang out in the library anymore, fearful becoming trapped under a fabric avalanche that might keep them from being found for days.
This January, we decided it was time make the run to IKEA and put things where they belong, thereby freeing up the library to be a library again. A new rug, a new table, and finally now I can say we have new curtains that I finished yesterday. All of this isn't really that noteworthy, til I realized how wonderfully Baxter matches the room. Pets have a way of integrating themselves so completely in our lives, do they even subconsciously affect our choice in the colors we choose to live with?
