the five senses

It's a bright sunny day today, matching Baxter's spirits now that we're all home and he is free to bake in the afternoon sun. Hardly a use of his five senses, one might think, til the dreams start. A nose wiggle, a ever so slight ear prick, a tail thwopping, little legs twitching about and a muted "mwoof!", all say that even in his sleep his senses are hard at work, ever hopeful to catch that elusive bunny. I'll get you one day you silly wabbit. You'll see.

How ironic! Just this morning as I was getting ready for the day, I heard some muted "mwoofs" coming from Oskar as he napped in his sleeping bag. I slowly approached to see his paws twitch, but he awoke and looked at me, somewhat bewildered. I asked, "Did you get the kitty?", referencing his Big Chase yesterday, and his ears snapped up. I followed him to the back door, knowing that he wanted to "re-live" his dream, but the lack of kitty smell and a steady rain persuaded him to stay inside.
Yes Baxter, you will get your wabbit!

Baxter - try this: it's our favorite:

Actually, dad won't buy it for us anymore now that they source their rabbit meat from China. But maybe your mom can find you a different source.
Actually rabbit meat seems to be the only meat that a lot of dogs don't like, and you wouldn't think it would be that way. Maggie HATED it at first, but she ate it or did without (as grandma used to say).

So maybe you aren't missing anything after all.

Your pals,
Joey and Maggie....

It's the Evil Squirrel that is being chased in Molly's dreams. When she barks in her sleep, she makes a little sound like bubbles popping. So cute! And that's one of the reasons her number one knickname is "Bubbles."

Hi, Baxter!
My mom says I do the same thing when I have a "bad dream"!
She has tried to take a video but my dreams don't last a long time!
Kisses and hugs

I think Baxter is dreaming of me! Seriously though, my mom thought I was the only one who wagged a tail while sleeping. I wag it hard enough to wake her up too!
