b. barker
dear diary,
some days, i can't help but embarrass myself. i mean yeah, sure i passed the canine good citizen class and i really do know better, but u see, i'm really starting to like this thing I have for barking at other dogs. take yesterday, when mom n dad took me to the park for walkies. i barked at big dogs, i barked at small dogs. u name it, i barked at it. well, 'cept for the three doxies i saw, cuz, u know, they're my homies and we homies got 2 stick 2gether, even if that long haired black and tan did kinda wanna piece of me for sniffin at his girlfriend the smooth black n tan. oooh she smelled nice.
anyways, barkin's where it's at, u know? it's just my way of sayin i got my eye on u, so don't get too close to me. and the dog i'm barkin at always walks away so it works, right? mom says i'm not doin my breed any favors by doin all that, but who am i to be representin the breed? i'm just me, a little dog in a big world, tryin to make my way around the park.
toodles!

Yo, yo homie Baxter! I'd seriously doubt your doxie street cred if you didn't bark at just about everything. And checkin' out the girls...oh yeah, I'm with ya.
My mom thinks I'm kinda like her when she says, "I'm from New Jersey. Far be it from me to keep me mouth shut!"
Peace out,
Oskar
You tell 'em, Baxter!
LatrÅ ergo sum.
I bark, therefore I am.
You look like one tuff hombre in that picture, Baxter!
Hi, Baxter!
Hmmmm... barking at dogs??
I don't do that!
I bark at everything from inside my house but as soon as I go out... I am barkless!
Take care

Tulip has become a barker too. It is baffling because she never barked before we moved.
Dear Baxter,
I too like to bark at all the dogs I see. My mom keeps telling me to learn some manners, but doesn't she know us little guys need to be even tougher??? I try and not let her cramp my style though and I hope you can do the same.

I think it's normal but eventually you will stop barking to everyone. :) Just be patient.
It's good to bark and announce your presence to the dog park. :) I know you will keep your family safe!
woof woof arf woof arf arf woof arfy arf arf!
(baxter, speaking in his native tongue, roughly translated as "hi everybody i'm glad 2 hear u like barking too!!")
I bark at big dogs, black dogs of all sizes, all male dogs (is this proper english...), all dogs who come to me unexpected - well, just about every other dog but cute little girlies. I usually won't bark if mum tells me so, but sometimes I get so excited that I can't hear what mum tells me.
Hey, Bax, just remind your mom that you are a doxie when she wants you to stop barking and that you are doing it to protect her. That is what we do and I am a professional! Drives my momma crazy!
Snuggles,
Twix
