stairstep surveillance
With all the comings and goings of a little doxie, sometimes it's easy to forget how long and short tiny chumley really is. Til I catch him playing with a toy, all in the space of a single stair step.
Tiny chumley doesn't play on the stairs often, but I get the feeling he might do so more regularly, now that he realizes that playing on the right step gives him a line of sight he would otherwise never be able to experience. An opportunity to peek out the landing window, to view the squirrels that brazenly climb up the japanese maple as they make their way to the rooftop. To bark, and therefore be.

What an awesome picture!
Baxter, you're our kind of dog. Always vigilant, yet you find time for a little amusement as well. Good job!

Hi, Baxter!
Looking at your picture I know you found a nice spot to peek out things... or squirrels on your yard!
