zen and the art of sewing

It's been a fun and productive week, with Robin having travelled back with us from our mini-vacation so we could spend some time together shopping for materials and developing ideas.

Little boyfriend has been a super trooper with the extra hubbub about the house, so accustomed now to all the crafting about that he doesn't even think a thing about being fitted by his Auntie Robin for an extra special idea she has for mythologic halloween headgear. I suppose for tiny chumley, it's just another day in the life.

Doesn't everyone have an auntie that wakes you up so you can try on a skullcap for medusa headgear?

ARGH! You're planning for Halloween already?!? Well, that sounds like it's going to be something to look forward to...

My 5-year-old daughter and I read this post together while she was clinging to Frances the Red and asking to keep Frances in bed with her tonight. (Frances usually sits up late with me while I'm working on the computer, because she's technically *my* dog.) She looked at this photo of Baxter and said, "Hey! Baxter and Frances could be brother and sister! Or maybe, if they're not, they could get married someday!"

Life can be sooooo difficult sometimes. Naptime disturbances are the worst. I'm just sayin'.

Can we see the headgear when finished? Sounds cool!

hee - I can't wait to see it either! It's totally Robin's idea and execution and if she can get everything to cooperate, it'll be really cool! She got the itch after running across a bag of some slinky tubey stuff that her daughter had bought when it was her turn to come with us to NYC.

Aww - Hi Jeanne & Jeanne's daughter! I haven't had a chance to tell everyone about what a wonderful home Frances got so I'm glad you visited! And yes, Jeanne's daughter is every bit as cute as she sounds!! (Their doxie Poe is also a cutie!! :)
