happy walkies

Going on vacation is a love hate relationship for the little kielbasa. On the one paw, Baxter adores visiting friends, taking time to investigate every nook and cranny of his new location, hoping that he might discover something wonderful to chase or eat, and often, finding the tiniest of crumbs to make his trip especially memorable.

Yet on the other paw, being on vacation means that Baxter's everyday happy go lucky routines are often upturned, and he finds himself unable to count on everyday simple pleasures like sleeping in bed with us or going for his much beloved walkies. Unable to be the center of our universe as he so often is when we are home.

So, a big sigh of relief from the little kielbasa yesterday. Our pack, now all back together at home, going for happy evening walkies.

I just had an AHA moment. I do believe I have picked up the term Walkies from you. :) BeBe likes to go on Walkies and the rest could care less. So happy all is right in the universe of handsome Bax :)

I started using the term walkies when I lived in London...it's Jeeves cue to go for the leash.

hi jiorji - oh that would be so sweet seeing baxter and your kitties in the garden! everybody would be so content flitting about!! :)

hi cheyne923! hee - I could see Jeeves now in a little Sherlock Holmes-y English tweed coat and hat, trotting happily away on his walkies. So lucky to have lived in London - loved the three times I visited. But can you believe it was before I had the junk bug? Bet the boot sales would have been fun!
