Calico Kitty made a rare return appearance in our backyard Friday evening, prowling about rather brazenly across the patio, and supercharging Baxter's homeland defense security system to Defcon 1 status for what I can only surmise will be the entire weekend.
Our backdoor, once just a plain ol entrance, has now been transformed into a missile launch bay, with tiny chumley locking and loading himself, ready and waiting to hear the launch codes that will send him like a rocket down the deck stairs and around and around our yard in search of his feline target.
Of course, calico kitty is long gone. But try telling that to the doxie rocket in my backyard.

I have a vivid image of you going after that cat!
Not funny he was gone when you could get out!
Kisses and hugs

i still smell it out back!!!
Baxter - maybe me and you are related....
I get locked and loaded every time my mom opens the back door...because the pesky birds like to sit in my backyard and steal my apples from the apple tree. The rocket launch method works too.....I caught a bird in the dark one day!
Poor Baxter- first a horrid squirrel, and then an insulting cat. Take 'em out!
bwahahahaha I love that photo .. it's so ready to SHOOT from that door isn't it? Did that kitty get da best of you my favorite handsome lil Bax boy? :)
