Some modeling fun for the little kielbasa yesterday, who was more than happy to pose for Etsy pictures in exchange for rawhide and snackies. Little Elmer Fudd and Elmer Fuddette flapjack hats, to welcome the crisp cold air of autumn.

aw thanks! I wanna say they'll range between $10 and $13, plus shipping. U know me and embellishment! I am so excited - plus teh weather is blah for doing wing work - so I am cutting a few more out today (out of really fabu woolens and flannels). But boo hoo, have to wait for the supplies I ordered to arrive to finish them. Hurry up Mr UPS! :)

aw thanks Nancy n hildy! my email is kalyxcraftopia at gmail dot com. i really haven't given much thought to sizing just yet as I sorta did these on a lark and reaallly need to do huan things soon. But they're so fun I decided to put more in the pipeline and i figure for now these flapjack hats are pretty cute whether they're just right, big, or tiny, though I also think the adjustable chin strap keeps things where they need to be anyway. Daisy's mom kindly offered to let all her little ones try the hat on so soon we'll all know how they fit tinier heads.
Do email me with what you can and it'll give me something to think about while I'm making purses! :)

LOVE THEM!!! Sign me up for 3! Here's the thing - when it gets really cold (like 10 degrees F or colder), the boys' ears get frostbite. So, we'd need a way of tucking their ears in where the wooly earflaps would cover them and keep them warm with maybe flaps to close off the side ear openings. Sounds kinda complicated, I know. Last winter Ike wore a knitted "babushka" headscarf (very un-masculine!!) but which did the trick.
wow like an actual ear flap for ears?? very interesting! i'll noodle on that one - it might be a Dec before I can develop that idea, but the homeland is still cold in Jan & Feb, right? by the way, I did send an email but prob need to send one again cuz I sent some big pics. hope to chat again soon, sio!! :)
Ahh! I want one in a lab size! and another in a I have no idea what size because the dog is medium sized but is crazy fluffy... size..
My green cap came! I didn't tell hubby about it so when it came I put it on Harley and sent her to see him....he busted out laughing. He loved it to! Pics will be forth coming! I will absolutely have to get on for each member of the pack!
