Corset. Google for the word for images and you might just get more than you bargained for. But now, there's another image to add to the mix, and it all has to do with this little pup.
Meet Ivy, a squeeful little girl who lives with her big brother Tristand and her mum in the world Camelot was born. Only this little girl isn't not your typical storybook princess. Underneath those innocent eyes, the tiny shell of adorable cuteness, lies the elfin heart of a mischievous minx. The kind of playful vixen that knows how to leave her mark in life, one fluffy pile of detritus and one heart shaped piddle puddle at a time.
So of course the Christmas present that mum wanted for Ivy this year couldn't be just any old dud. This little doxie worked hard to earn the loving nickname of Miss Menace, and she needed the vixeny supergirl duds to go along with it.
Enter my need to google corset. Ivy's mum had provided some images for inspiration, but I wanted to find a few more pictures to zoom in on the lacing and boning detail. Corset. Boning. Um, yeah. My eyeballs needed a little cleansing before getting on with the task.
And yippee! What a fun experience, mixing Victorian with vixen, blending silk taffeta with velvet, marrying venice lace and crystals. Using boning and eyelets and ribbon to make Ivy's very dapper doxie dud and cape.
Watch out Santa, this Christmas, Miss Menace is coming to town!

Oh my! Little Miss Menace is ready to for the Renaissance fair!!
OMG ... That is gorgeous!!!! I love the piddle puddle too. Hehehe :) Even had to call hubby over to look at those precious eyes she has. :)
Knowing Miss Ivy as well as I do from wienerwritings.com, I can only say you may have captured her take-no-prisoners attitude in true Victoriana!!!
Oh my goodness, it's just perfect!!!! I can't wait for it to arrive and I will take heaps of pictures of her in her gorgeous new outfit. Maybe it will have magical powers to reduce her menacing? LOL
Much love to you and Baxter,
Gail, Tristand and Miss Ivy Menace
That 's a fabulous corset for miss ivy menace. My coy boy Jeeves thinks that Ivy would be a fine playmate--she has a coy look goin' on too. The humans would go crazy though since Jeeves is a bit of a marker. Can just imagine the menacing marking going on with the two together!
BTW, how big is ivy? She looks like such a wee babe (see she has me fooled already)
Melinda and Jeeves
That is a super cute coat.

Wow! That is amazing and gorgegous! Miss Menace reminds of of a young Miss Molly - who, although no longer young, is still a menace. At least the days of heart shaped puddles and chewed shoes are over, but she's moved on to searching out and destroying the Halloween candy and terrorizing the German Shepherds. So you have that to look forward to...
Still snorting over "corset" and "boning" ...
It looks fabulous! And that sweet little face has probably saved Miss Ivy a time or two!
oh kona, that'd be so cool to find her at a renaissance fair - she and all the little doxies could be gnawing on those giant turkey legs!
yeah hannalei, the heart shaped piddle puddle really sealed the deal, didn't it? ivy's mum has vid of more of the miss's work - she made nice work of a bean bag chair and u know the tiny stryo pellets in those things - it was everything you'd expect from a doxie with a twinkle in her eye.
oooh wienerwritings - must take a looky next time i feel like playin hooky!
whee, so glad u like it, professor d! hopefully the little miss won't put a menace on her menace duds!! :)
oh Jeeves, Miss Menace is a wee little thing - her cape is only 12 inches long!
thanks, Texas! hope u r having fun today!:)
oh yeah, if Miss Menace is the young Luke Skywalker of menacing, Molly is totally Yoda. But they both wear it so well - there's gotta be a real and very tiny person stuck in each of them!! :)
Love how there is a little "posse" of weiner dogs in capes! It's cuz doxies are really "super"!! :)
LOL yes those eyes and that sweet little face have saved her on so many occasions!! It's true that god made puppies cute so that they could survive! Ivy is just 15 months, the vet said she was a bit runty - how rude we thought, she is quite simply petite. What's more she packs a lot of 'tude into that small frame. Poor Tris gets regular torture from her.
Definitely check into Wiener writings, we have a lot of fun hearing each other's stories and sharing pictures, it's a real family.
Oooooooh, we think that Ivy is so very beautiful, and her harness and cape are divine! Her coy look is perfect for melting hearts, especially after leaving all manner of gifts for the family.
Miss Menace!
Sure she knows how to have fun!
And she is going to love her super special dud!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
