wooty woot! even though mom n dad did not take them with me when they did errands yesterday, i still had a wonderful day cuz looky what they brought back for me - my very own floatie! which methinks will come on very handy whenever i learn how to swim cuz i do not know if u know diary that i have never swum before. well at least as far as mom knows and for some reason that seems to be as far as i know too.
so the floatie i am wearing is size small and mom said it was only eight bucks at tjmaxx so of course she had to get it for me and she almost got me the sand booties but then she realized the shoes were so tall that they would fit all the way up into my armpits and so that was that. which is fine with me because methinks i would like to have my paws free to dig n stuff, know what i mean?
anyhoo, i am really excited to learn how to swim cuz i asked mom if i got good enough if she and dad might take me some place swell like in this postcard i found in my craft box and she said yes!
but the thing is i still have to learn how to swim and even though duk duk said he would teach me, we still do not have a place to do it because i lost my y card the last time i went camping with my pupscout pack back in the fall and mom said i had to pay for the new card myself and well the last time i had enough money to do that me n duk duk decided to buy the new wii game that we wanted so bad instead and we even used the change to buy chocobot n lil pink puppy the twister game they wanted so for now it seems i am a dog out of water.

Hi have never swimmed before either Baxter, but mom says she wants to teach me soon. When you learn how will you tell me how you like it?? You sure ar lucky to have duk duk to teach you:) Maybe if you give your pouty face again your mom might pay for a new y card for you:)

miss carisa, my mom says looky looky at home goods, tj maxx, n marshalls cuz they are all the same and keep lookin cuz u never know at each individual store - they all put their stuff out whenever but they all seem to carry doggie stuff nowadays! :)
so cute! I thought about getting one of those for ammo - but then I realized he doesn't even like to swim with a harness on (I think he feels restricted). So there is probably zero chance he's swim with a life vest on.
Ammo gets braver about swimming each time we go - it's hard not to just want to plunk him in the water, but I know when he's ready he'll do it more on his own.
He already dove off our canoe once and into the water. And has been swimming more each time we go. :)

Baxter.... you're in luck. Bugsy and Knuckles have a pool at the condo... It's big and it has a shallow end, though you'll have to float all the time as it probably isn't shallow enough for you to touch the bottom. Well theoretically, dogs aren't allowed, but if you're very quiet, you and the boys could go swimming after dark... there are lights down there.... Let me know what you think. I'll get the boys trunks and flippers ready to go.

Milo's tried swimming, but he's not too keen on it, though he did like sniffing around the year-round dog beach down in Maryland last month!
Perhaps he'd be more confident in a pool instead of a bay!
