dear diary,
so mom is still gone and i have only finished counting to five so methinks i still have another paw and a nose and a tail to go. so, with that much time left methinks i will ask dad if it is not too hot out if we can go on a nice walkie like we did like this one back before it got really really got. like maybe to the park or sumptin and after maybe we can go to the chik-fil-a drive thru to get snackies and then watch movies and fall asleep on the sofa. and hopefully skype with mom so we can tell her all about it and then she will hear about all the things she missed out on and maybe she will come back home sooner. yep, that is what i am hopin. or maybe we can just nibble on cheese.

Hi Kerri! Yes, the B was in an airborne position so Mom could get the great photos she always does. B is very aerodynamic.

B and I are doing fine. It is windy but not too much rain. Things are much wetter and windier east of us. Irene is headed up the coast now so we should keep in thoughts and prayer those who will be affected as it moves north. B is keeping me company as I do the work thing.

Thanks for your thoughts! B and I are staying dry and here the gusts of wind. B is hanging in. Right now, he is doing intense study of the inside of his eyelids. And a thorough job at that!

Baxter and Dad - Did you get to the chik-fil-a drive thru? We now have one in Chicago (but not drive-thru). Should we take some to your mom tomorrow? The boys have never had such a treat!!!

Btw, B, I was at a NoRal Harris Teeter last night and they had some of their specialty cheeses 20% off. You and Dad could have some delicious snackies and make Mom super jealous.
Hey Baxter, Jasper & I agree with all of the above:) You're doing a great job entertaining your dad while your mom is away. Movies & nappies on the couch are Jasper's favorite way to keep me occupied, but cheese nibbling is always a good idea.
Glad you guys didn't see too much of Irene's bad side:)

Hi Amy, indeed Bax is doing a great job helping me as I do work yet again today. A napping doxie sitting next to one is great anytime. But, it is especially good when working since a sleeping Doxie next to one is very calming.
