yip yip, hooray! yip yip, hooray!, Baxter's wiggly little kong toy carrying body and gentle happy whimpering proclaims with every skip down the hallway as we settle ourselves back into the house.
hey didjoo get me anything?, his nose will ask as he momentarily pauses to sniff at us and whatever we might have purchased while his mouth wrestles with holding on to his slobbery kong toy. cuz if not i saved my snackie that u gave me before u left and if u will excuse me for a second i will eat it now and then we can get back to the welcome home parade! i'll be back so stay right here okay? yip yip hooray! yip yip hooray!
And off he skips, to the blurry beat of his own happy drum. :)

baxter, your mom is absolutely right! my mom loves the parade too. nothing is better than a parade from your own dachshund. :)

Hmmmm. I must be doing it wrong. I get cussed out in Wiener every time I come home. Molly barks at me for about 5 minutes straight, and I know she's saying, "How DARE you leave me here!? Where did you go? What did you eat? You didn't EAT without me, did you?! And just let me tell you want happened here while you were so irresponsibly off the job..."
Yep, kitties do the parade too... Bugsy and Knuckles are always racing each other to get to the door when HH comes home.

hee hee not that i am looking forward to the next time they lave me home alone but i am so thinking next time, for the parade, i will pull my wagon with duk duk n chocobot n lil pink puppy inside it, just a like a real parade float! :)
