I remember last year when Robin and I started our journey to Bucktown and stumbled upon our first Goodwill Outlet. We were looking for lodging for the night when I spied what I thought was a regular Goodwill store stuck in the corner of a decaying strip mall. Lodging could wait, we agreed.
And as you might imagine, our lives were forever changed by what I can only describe as a magical visit to the island of misfit toys. Second chance stuff from other Goodwills, sold for pennies by the pound. Yeah, you know we would be visiting these places again.
Today, a tiny peekypoo at some of the scores from our return visit, mixed in with a scores from other thift stores we visited as well on our way home. So many places, so little time and space. And yet I am pining four our next by the pound adventure.
next time mom, can u find a scooby doo for duk duk too?? :)

We could get into serious trouble together...I am a Goodwill maven, but didn't know you could go into that place, and i know of a big one!
Ohhhhhhhh... I was so hoping you would show a full picture of your souvenir.... How wonderful to have a pal the same size as you... Scooby-dooooo... I love him.

I love the little book "So Long." However, if you read about Molly's most recent escapade on FB, the title of a her book would have to be "So Round."

mistermiss anonymous, my mom says be prepared because it is not your ordinary well organized goodwill! bring gloves that can handle broken glass because there can be a lot of it depending on how freshly rolled out the goods are. ask how often they put out new goods so u know and if something is really heavy often check with the sales clerk or manager bcuz they will prob offer it to u at a lower fixed price. :) :)

My mommy goes to those stores sometimes and usually only comes back with clothes. Really, cool treasure there on the scooby. Sasha.
