rainwatchers
dear diary,
i am writing u early today because tonight is halloween and of course u already know that me n duk duk are going trick or treating. but what u do not know diary is that it might rain and so me n duk duk have been watching the weather very carefully and hope very much that our halloween is not rained out, especially because mom n dad got candy that we do not like and we were really hoping to get gummy worms and super sour spray and war heads so we can trade with the other kids at school for cool stuff like poopie snakes. (hee hee, yeah, i know. poopie snakes for candy? the kids at school are such suckers! but i will save that story for another day.)
anyhoo diary, sometime later tomorrow maybe i will tell u how our halloween really went. right now i must help duk duk find a bag big enough for our sign so we can keep it dry because the baggies we found 4 our heads are way too small.

Hey call us Baxter - we got several mini Three Musketeer bars that we'd trade for almost anything. Ick. Who can give those out with a smile on their face?

Hi Baxter! Ellie got tons of candy--so much that she was even sharing with her *mother*. She loves swapping out candy with her friends, too. Wish you didn't live on the other side of the country!
Hi Baxter! My mom felt lazy this year and had me re-use my award-winning costume -- The "Ike" -- see Carson's blog from a couple of years ago for a picture of it. I was hoping for a "pimp hat" (in red velvet!). Maybe next year!

hee hee joey n rowdy, i hear u on the ick candy. u want to cybertrade cuz we got mike n ikes n hot tamales and even though we do not like three musketeers either, teacher likes them and we need all the help we can get after uh, what happened yesterday. let's just say teacher did not like me coming nakey nakey to school and even though i tried to explain my luchador mask and gauntlets were in my book bag cuz i did not want to get them wet, she still gave me a rutt-roh for disrupting class. oopsie.
oooh ellie is so luckeee! maybe she will at least let poe have some so she can trade for snackies at her school!

Oh B, I can't stop giggling at your pic today, you & duk duk look so cute!! I hope that you found a bag big enough for your sign & that you got to go out & trick or treat even if it did rain. Jasper got pumpkin treats & a rawhide bone (that doesn't give up easily) and, a not so nice suprise, a big bruise & scratched up chest from trying to jump up onto a concrete wall that was too tall for him.
