yawn

Our trip back home was blissfully uneventful, so much so that the little kielbasa slept most of the way, save for the moment when he poked his head up while we were at a rest stop, and let out a great big yawn.... :)

We just drove back from NC on Saturday, and little Molly spent at least half of the trip in my lap. As I was trying to do some statistics homework, it wasn't the easiest. But I so love that she wants to be in my lap, and to tuck her little head under my elbow ... it's so restful and sweet, that I made it work.

The GSDs were exhausted from a week of swimming, walking trails, smelling critters and chasing squirrels, so they were happy to sleep for 12 hours in the car.

At one point, we think we might have seen a catamount (a NC mountain lion) near my dad's house. Fortunately, the two big knuckleheads were too busy smelling where it had been to notice that it was still there and running away, and they failed to give chase. (thank dog!) We were a bit more careful letting Molly out after that sighting.

Oh Baxter, Jasper is jealous of your carseat!! I have thought about getting him one but I'm scared he would try to jump out of the window. Glad you had a good visit, even if you were Mr. Barkypants! :)
