Once he finished with the obligatory 10 or more minutes of letting me know some new friends were in our home, somepuppy settled down and was a very good boy with the new friends that came to our house yesterday. And so it seemed only right that he get a teeny tiny reward later that evening, all to enjoy from the comfort of his blankie cocoon.
hee hee i had fun, didntchoo mom? i sure hope our new friends come back cuz maybe next time i can show them me and duk duk's giant poopie snake collection! :)

You mean we only haveta bark for 10 minutes to tell Mom and Dad new people are here? Gee, we've been doing it for 20 minutes at least! No wonder you get treats after people come and we don't. Thanks for the tip, Baxter. Slurps, Lulu Belle, Rave and Harley.

and yes, my friends, i have found that it really does not help to mark much longer than that, especially if nobuddy is listening in the first place. that way u can save your energy for something like, well, barking at the mail person or those stinky basset neighbors u might have. :)
