Watch the poop from birds and "runny babbits!" My dachsi is fond of sticking his nose in bird poop (if I can't catch him first) and has eaten a bunny poop or two. He did this years ago and got a nasty giardia infection. This left a cyst scar on his pancreas -- and he's now diabetic. Have to give him insulin shots every 12 hours with meals.
mister miss anonymous, mom does worry about that (and contracting HGE) and discourages bunny poop eating, but she says i pulled a fast one that time...
