as good as it gets

There's actually been a really good reason behind all my visits to TJ Maxx and Marshalls and HomesGoods lately.  I mean, not just to see what there is to see in doxie stuff, or to smell candles, or lament that they usually carry rather unreasonably designed and totally undersized ladies undergarments.  I've been visiting because it was time to take back my makey spaces from the messy monsters, and I needed storage stuff.












I'm glad to say that after a very long two weeks, and with one armoire still in an imperfect state and an entire room next door still prone to falling like a house of cards into a state of disrepair,  I'm as done as I will ever be with the Great Crafty Purge and Organization War of 2014.  Next week it will be time to crank up the make factory again, and I know a certain little helpful boy and his dukfriend will be there, giving me helpful advice all the while.

hee hee - hey mom, this is great, but, where is the shelf for me and duk duk's crafty supplies? u know, our bins for poopie snakes and monkey chow and, u know, glitter and stuff??

hee hee hee, i am so glad we all agreed to pool our allowance together and wait til after christmas to buy our christmas candy - we got like quadrupletuppletillion more candy now than if we bought it before christmas and even though these gummies might be a little hard now, it will still taste just as good!

now if we just..what's that lil pink puppy? yup, i think so too. every middle of january. and we can call it feastivus, the feast for friends!

There were too many interesting things to see and smell on our walkies yesterday, too many for tiny chumley to be anything but a happy little doxie who hardly had time for such silly things looking into iPhoneys for pictures.

Even with temps expected to be in the 50s today, something tells me a certain little toasty someone won't be coming out of his down blankie coccoon anytime soon, not at least until he's very convinced that the polar vortex has gone very far far away. :)

hee hee hee, boy that was a lot of work getting it out there but this is going 2 be so much fun! and mom did not even miss all the spoons we borrowed from the dishwasher!

but we should probably wait before we tie them to our feet until our rink is hard enough. my paws got cold out there even with my pink wooly socks and boots on!

wishful thinking

boy it really stinks that we have to go back to school today, duk duk...(sigh)..maybe our school will get cancelled too today, like like all those other kids, because the outside thermometer says it is fifty degrees out, which is only like fifty plus fifty degrees away from minus fifty which is really not that far apart when u think about it. and here i am in my school clothes and i am still cold sitting here inside by george while we wait for the bus so u can only imagine what it would be like for us in school.

























and, if school were cancelled, then, well, we could stay home, finish catching up on downton abbey, and even have enough time to watch the new one we mevo'd yesterday which only makes sense because if we go to school today, all the kids will be talking about it, and it would be like, spoiler city. 

and, if school were cancelled, then we would not have to even think about a reason to tell teacher why we did not finish our reading assigment. at least until tomorrow and that is a whole day away and maybe besides we can find war and peace on netflix and watch that too.  or at least breakfast at tiffanys because i think i saw that the same lady is in that too and really all the movies sounded the same back then anyway so what is the difference? 

oh, and if school were cancelled, we could help mom reorganize her studio, and make more cookies, and...(sigh) i think i hear the bus coming....
