Hello my friends, it's me, Baxter, your roving rover reporter, reporting to you today about something this is really not as far away as u think it might be.  That's right, I am reporting about Christmas, because me and duk duk and mom have all been working very hard to make sure all our duks, er, robots, are in a row and everybuddy who missed out on a super cool robot doxie ornament last year can get one or two or u know, more this year before we are all made out.   So whether u like your super cute robot dachshund ornament adorned with festive red toys or teeny bow tied gifts, or with glittery poop or awesome disco balls, hopefully we've got u covered.  Which is why we also thought we would start offering our first litter very soony soon so that way it is one less thing u have to worry about during the actual holiday season.  Cuz you know, why worry about whether your precious package will arrive in time when u can just get it now, with plenty of time to spare? So if you are thinking like us and would like to shop early and get while the getting's good, our first litter will be ready for adoption on Sunday 10/4/2014 at 8:00PM EST.  But why let me tell you that, when I've got super cute helpers that can do even better than me?....

you would think after all this time, the tushie man might remember what to touch and not to touch when he comes for my annual checkup. but every year,  just in case to make sure he remembers, me and duk duk always like to make sure it is abundantly clear. and every year, no matter how we say it, it seems he does not listen.

i sure hope next year mom finally finishes making me my rubber pants.

dear diary,

the sleepover me and duk duk hosted for the little misses this past weekend was quite a success, but unfortunately i cannot tell u much about it because what happens at motel bark and quack stays at motel bark and quack. so I will leave u with just one question - does anybuddy know how to get pink glitter nail polish off duk feet?

wakey wakey

ruhhhh? well, maybe just a few minutes more? dad kept hogging the bed all night long... :)

everything is round :)

"ooooOOOOooOOoOOooo!" the little dachshund exclaimed.  The little dachshund had lived with his loving family long enough to know that any time he was asked to put a napkin in his collar and wait by his little orange table, tiny lunch - and therefore something tummylicious - was always about to be served.  But the sight before him exceeded any expectations he and his bottomless tummy could have ever imagined.

"look, duk duk,  everything is round!"

The little dachshund eagerly sniffed at the delicious treats.  "yippee, cherry tomato! and raspberry! and..." He nose wiggled wildly, sniffing at the last, curious dish. "hmmm, meatball? made of...chick- no wait, not chicken...no, not turkey exactly...maybe it's a combination of..o i know! turduck-" Glancing quickly at his best toyfriend beside him and fighting back the urges of his inner wolf, the little dachshund stopped himself just in time. "i smell turds and ucken! boy, it is a shame mom said u r allergic to ucken, duk duk, otherwise u could totally have some."















"well, i guess there is no time like the present, right, duk duk? it's time for tiny lunchy lunch!" And the little dachshund happily gobbled his meatball and raspberry and tiny tomato, knowing that tiny lunchy lunch would be repeated again and again, until finally lunchy lunch was over. :)

boy, i sure thought it would stink that mom is making us make our own lunchy lunches this year for school, but, i think it is going to turn out quite nice, dontchoo think, everybuddy? 

i mean, we have so many good ideas, the hardest part was figuring out what not to pack for our first day of school, really. 

I sure hope we packed enough peanut butter and smelly jelly cuz once everybuddy sees how the u know what u know whats the U know whatter, they are all gonna want one. ooh - how are we doing on time? 

okay, duk duk and lil pink puppy, u guys keep working on getting our lunchy lunch box 2 shut,  and I will get out of my jammies and fire up the pedal car while chocobot and lulu the tiger get our backpacks and tell mom we are on our way :)

hee hee, yep it's true.  if the kisses i get every day from mom and dad were kibble, my tummy would explode. :)

the speed of time

Even though time seems to move agonizingly slow for tiny chumley when we are away and he is left home alone to howl into his baby cam to call for our return,  time also occasionally moves more quickly than he would like. And though he may be small and sometimes overlooked amidst a sea of chores and other such nonsense, the little kielbasa knows, as every dachshund is born to know, how to refocus priorities and recalibrate the speed of time, if even for just at most a week. 

mom, dontchoo think we have better things than this to do the week before school starts??
