yesterday i went to the museum to work on my school project for performance art class,  but something tells me i need to find a new production assistant. who maybe has a smaller head, or dyes his hair sky blue.

tiny viney rewindy videos: jaunty

There are times when I wonder what will come of all our posts here in cyberspace many years from now.  All our pictures and videos of the things we have done and places we have gone, and all the conversations about things both monumental and mundane. 

As much as I wish it wouldn't, I think at some point, our conversations here in cyberspace will inevitably fragment,  and the words and meaning that we meant to be included with our images will part ways with each other, drifting apart on random and meandering magnetic journey.  I can only hope as the years go by long after Baxter is gone and my little boy's image surface and resurface like a buoy in the ocean, that all who see him will know, he was and always will be a happy and very much loved little boy, not only by us, but all of you.   Thank you, my friends, for all your kind birthday wishes.  And I certainly hope that there will be many many more birthdays to celebrate :)

Tiny chumley and I were busy working on teeny tiny treasure boxes yesterday, and although it will probably be a week or two before they are ready to find new homes, a certain little helper elf and his demanding tummy required at least partial payment for a job partially done :)

hee hee, mom, u know me and my tummy work on a pay as u go system.  it's in our contract! :)

Some little messy boy got a bigger toyfriend box yesterday, and although it's fine for rooting around in, sometimes asking him to put back his toys properly requires a bit of a warm up. :)

Even pooped little post-Halloween doxies who fall asleep on the sofa need their beauty rest upstairs in bed. But before they go up, a cute little nosey snootch and a good paw stretch is always in order :)

the enchanted forest :)

Hey, it's me, Baxter, your roving rover reporter, reporting to you today about some the wonderful things I saw on my 5 mile hike through the enchanted forest ...












...Like trees that were kissing and woodpeckers that were totally made of wood..

..and bark that grew words on them and trees that grew sideways before growing upright.  And skeletony bone root fingers growing on the surface of the ground like giant hands preparing to reach our and grab you.

In fact, there were so many cool things to see in the enchanted forest, I can hardly understand why some people might think the most enchanting thing to see was this, just outside the enchanted forest...

Hee hee, I did not stay in it for long by the way.  There were too many things to sniff. Like, um, this. 

Anyhoo, my hike the enchanted forest was very nice and I hope u would consider taking one too very soony soon!  This is Baxter your roving rover reporter wishing you a supertastic Saturday! :)

video cuteness: d is for determination :)

Like little rubbery magicians, determined dachshunds always seem to manage to achieve the physically impossible with their tiny bodies, shrinking and expanding at will to fit the narrowest and widest of spaces with equal ease and ability.   And even when a determined dachshund like the little kielbasa has finally met his match, when the wooden slats of his chair are simply too narrow for squeezing and shimmying, there are other elements at a dachshund's disposal, even if it does make him look like a cute little alien with long pink giraffe tongue. :)

dear diary,
i am just writing to wish u a very happy labor day and to let u know that i may or may not be posting every day this week so that when i am not in school (boo hoo), i can enjoy my friend and madwilly's brother's visit for the rest of this week.  so do not worry although i bet now that i said that, i will end up posting every day anyway.  but we will see because henry and i have much to poop about before he leaves. 

in the meanwhile, i hope u have a very restful labody day, because i know i will!

Into every dirty little boy's life a little purple flower stink must fall, but lucky for him,  there are ways of zooming it all off. :)

mom, next time i have to take a bath, how bout we maybe skip the purple flower stuff and go straight to the zooming? i think i can run fast enough to get clean, dontchoo?

The secret night conversations of summer are usually drowned out by the humming of air conditioners in tiny chumley's world, but recent cooler temps and open windows have given one curious little boy an excellent opportunity to eavesdrop on all the news that's fit to bark. :)

At some point almost every day, the boundless joy in our little wiener boy reaches such critical levels, that he must skip and jump and skip and jump and skip and jump to release and share it with the world, lest he explode from all the happy built up inside him. :)

Tiny chumley's penchant for plastic bottles nods back to an earlier time in his sausagey little life.   The time when the little kielbasa was a roly poly, impressionable ten month old lad, rescued from a dog hoarding situation and placed in a foster home where mister monkey-see-monkey-do learned the finer points of plastic bottle appreciation from his foster host, Rudy the mini Black and Tan.

It has been almost six years now since Baxter lived ever so briefly with Rudy.  And though there have been many lessons we both have learned since then, those learned in our youth always seem to hold a special place in our heart.
