Hard to believe the same little kielbasa that seeks cushy laps and soft blankies is the same fearless hunter that barges through lattice work when chasing a bunny, but the marks we found on Baxter's chest after his serendipitous backyard chase yesterday evening is proof that he is one in the same.

Hey Baxter, glad you enjoyed your Big Chase last night! Bunnies are so much more fun than kitty cats, cause they run up the fence and get away. Bunnies keep Oskar crashin' and dashin' lots longer, not to mention the yummy Godiva chocolate morsels (!) they leave behind!
Watch that lattice stuff too. I'm sure mom kissed your hurt away!

PS Do you have a pattern for a harness to fit an 11 lb. dog? Chest is 16", neck is 10.5".

Hi Alicia! I couldn't believe how quickly Baxter's marks healed. It's practically gone now, less than 24 hours later.
I don't have a pattern that would fit Oskar's measurements but you're in luck because the KwikSew Pattern 3517 has you covered in the XL size. I haven't used that particular pattern but Thigpen Drive did with wonderful results. Remember to include a seam allowance when you cut the kwiksew pattern because they don't include it on the printed paper. You can get Kwiksew at Hancocks locally but usually not Joann.
Love the idea of a centipede costume! I haven't run across a pattern like that, but I did alter simplicity'smutt-a-saurus pattern for Baxter to use as onesie style pjs. I'm sure one could easily sew a ton of legs on either side of that one. But be warned, Baxter didn't care much for the whole stretchy onesie aspect, it seems. He kept sitting down. I have to go back and revisit what I can do to make the onesie more comfortable (yet maintain a svelte cut). I'm a poor seamstress, but I'll try your harness suggestion. I know that a onesie would be too distracting for Oskar, so maybe something like a (very) modified horse cooler would work. How about knotted and formed pipe cleaners for legs and antennea? Sounds like I've given myself a chore!
Spray any rabbit droppings (and all offensive animal debris) you find with vinegar, it's long lasting and keeps our boy safe from our big IBS issues.
