tummy love: precious annie
Today, a start on harnesses for the precious Annie, a shorthaired dapple that's sweet as pie and cute as a button. I sent Annie and her mom a fit prototype a couple weeks ago and now it's back, pinned and ready to serve as the pattern for Annie's very own dapper doxie duds.
Little kielbasa may not appreciate how exciting this is for me, but he's happy just the same, thanks to the milkbones Annie's mom also included in the package. Pure tummy love. Thanks Annie and Annie's mom!!

OMG, you sit still like that with a cookie on your nose!!!!!! I don't have the patience for that, I do hate that mommy saw this picture too and she thought it was so cute, so I am afraid that she is gonna want to try it with me :(

That little Annie is pretty cute too.
We used to have a lab who was trained to sit like that with his cookie, and then when you gave the OK, he'd flip it in the air and catch it in his mouth and CRUNCH! If you get Baxter doing that, I want video!
ha - I didn't realize til I took this pic why it was so much easier for Baxter to "hold it" for kibble I placed on his nose. He barely sees the tiny pieces and that helps keep temptation at bay.
But that milkbone? Lemme tell ya, it tested his patience at first but he came through in the end and he loved his reward (shhhh! diet? what diet?)
I wonder how I might be able to get him to flip that in the air. An unnecessary step to tummy love, he probably thinks, when all he has to do is let that thing slide off his nose. Ah, small steps, I know.

That is the most perfect photo I have ever seen!!!!! Baxter, I can't believe you sat there like that...adding time for a picture too. I woulda had that thing gone before my mom could even pick up the camera. I sure have missed you. I got all caught up on the Baxter happenings last night.

Wow, Baxter you are showing some mad skillz! I've taught Flash that trick too and balance a little kibble on his nose, but he always ends up looking cross eyed because he doesn't want to take his eyes of the prize. You however look adorable!
