the joey effect

I can't help but feel the blogging world is a little heavier lately, worried, as we all wait and hope that Joey's health improves. Tiny chumley will have no idea why it is that today I will hold him a little tighter, inhale deeply into his paws and rub his belly, and give him an extra helping of rawhide. To him, it will be his lucky day. But truly, it is mine.

I agree. My heart aches for Joey and his dad and Maggie. My little Poe dog doesn't know why she's getting more snuggles, more combing, and more treats this week.

I had thought the same thing - I ached when I read about the new friend of ours. Our little snausage is getting a lot of affection too.
We are saying our prayers...

Same with Wilson, more treats and cuddling then ever before.... I hope for Wilson and myself that Joey heals up and is running around soon.

Yes, the Joey effect is strong! I really pray that he recovers well, and for Carson's sake, sooner than later. This is quite stressful!

Hugs to all furry pups!!

I agree, Joey touches us all. He, Maggie and Carson bring us so much joy all year 'round. Joey is the sweetest boy, Jeeves and I are sending that sweet energy right back to our friend!

Thank you for posting this on your blog. The more people that know, the stronger Joey can become, and the more wee ones get a very special day!
Go go Joey and Hang in there Carson and Maggie,
Melinda and Jeeves

My sentiments exactly! Annie has always had a lap to sit on and lots of loves, but the cuddles are tighter this week. With a love this pure comes so much responsibility.

I just so know how you all feel - still missing my little one.

I found your blog thru Joey's blog and that was most definitely a gift from Joey! Thank you for providing a forum to collectively worry about Joey and his health. I check his blog and yours daily and it is nice to know that there are other folks out there who are as "doxie crazy" as I am. I have a black and tan "tween" named Wishey and she is a little 18 pound cylinder of love! We are keeping Joey in our thoughts, too and are also giving lots more hugs and kisses.
