invisible me

On the rare occasions like yesterday when we must leave him home alone, the little kielbasa quickly senses his impending doom and tries to make himself scarce.  Hiding in the shadows and blending into the background canvas of brown that is our sofa and soon will be our new family room flooring, and hoping he is obscured by the growing clutter of boxes left over from our recent mumbolarkical purchases.

psssst! i'm over here. nobody tell anybody where i am okay? cuz i do not like it when mom and dad leave and if they cannot find me then they cannot leave, right? oh, and if i am still here in a couple of hours will somebody bring me a snackie? but do it quietly so nobody notices. oh and tell duk duk where i am so he does not worry.   okay, i have to be quiet now so shhhh!

Sorry baby dog.  Maybe someday you will be a better hider but for now, how bout we take you and your peanut buttered kong toy upstairs to the bedroom so you can enjoy a little snooze and look out the window for us?

Lol~ wonderful hiding spot, he blends in beautifully! Maybe if he gives you a bit of the silent treatment, he figures you'll feel guilty and take him along anyway! ;)

poor Baxter.

Ammo's rarely left home too.....but he doesn't hide before we go out (probably because he gets free run of the house while we're gone). Instead he starts ringing his bell to be let outside when he senses he might not be going. I guess he figures if he gets let outside we'll have to let him come along. :)

I can't find you in that picture. They must have a g.p.s. chip in your collar, so they can locate you at all times.

Hope you have a good day anyway.

pawhugs, Max

I dunno, Baxter, I think you're a pretty good hider... I could hardly find you in that photo! I'm still not sure I did! ;) Too bad your plan didn't work...

hee hee, miss simply smitten, u know i think nobody would have found me if mom didn't seem me go thataway. and boo hoo the silent treatment never works - i always cave first - especially when the snackies come out! :)

ha miss kyley the one time mom and dad let me have free run of the house, i did not like it. dad said i looked a little spooked when he came home. so yeah i dunno why i do not care to go to the bedroom. wait, yes, it is because i cannot come along. funny u should mention the bell cuz my mom and dad did that with kep and padua! but sometimes, kep would ring the bell cuz he wanted sumptin and it became more of a servant bell so mom n dad decided they would not do that for me. which i guess is still ok cuz i still seem to get practically everything i want except second lunch. :)

if only it worked better miss taylor lynn! do your chickens ever hide from u?

Our doxie is very much the same. She sees me or the bf getting ready and hides out in one of her many "no people allowed clubhouses" which includes under the table, under the bed and under the desk... I always feel so terrible leaving her alone, but when we get home, she's so excited and it's like we never left.

B, did your mom and dad check in on you via the spycam?

hee hee, well mom n dad decided to wait on their fancy phones on account of all the housework n stuff that needs to be done and considering how rarely i am left alone. so nope! which is good, cuz i totally licked my tushie while they were gone. :)
