day 1: countdown
dear diary,
well, i guess it had to happen again. mom told me to count to five because that is how many days she will be gone on a trip with my auntie robin. and i can tell five will be a really long time cuz couting that high uses up all the toes i have on one paw. and as u can tell by my tail i am not very excited about it and nor is dad but i guess at least we can walk around all day in our underwear and eat plenty of blocks of cheese and maybe if i am lucky dad will also take me n duk duk and lil pink puppy to the chik-fil-a drive thru. maybe twice even. but it is still not the same i know.
mom left me n duk duk n lil pink puppy some books to read and some games to play and a list of chores we should do while she is gone, so i am sure we will be busy butchoo know diary, if u happen to see mom please tell her next time to take all of us, okay?

Hey Baxter! I know ur sad that you mom is gone, but she'll be back soon. Since you got a list of chores to do, did you give her a list of treats to bring back for you & duk duk & lil pink puppy?? Or maybe some surprise presents??

Awwwww... Baster, five days is a long, long time.... Hope you and your dad have fun, but I know it won't be the same. I think it's important to go to chik-fil-a everyday while she's gone. Hang in there, pal.
pawhugs, Max
Hi Baxter,
5 days might feel like forever - I just had to wait 4 days for my humans to come back from a vacation. I did it so I know a big brave boy like you can. Have fun
