turtles r terrific when they are not in your own backyard

dear diary,
mom says every day i should try to learn something new everyday and yesterday i learned that turtles are terrific but only when they are not in your own backyard.  duk duk says that turtle has turned me into a chicken  butchoo see my pupscout leader said that whenever u see a turtle in the wild there are three rules that every good pupscout must follow: 1) stop  2) look and 3) bark.

mom says i am doing a very very very good job with turtle safety. so good her ears are ringing, which i think is cool because that way she does not have to put on any earrings at all.

anyhoo, even though i have not had a chance to really get to know mister turtle, we still invited him to lunch because dad thought he might be a little thirsty and hungry what with the heat being as bad as it was earlier.  so while i performed my pupscouts duty mom made him a pear and carrot plate because chocobot said mister turtle did not like monkey chow milkshakes, and yep, he ate it! and then we left the rest of the pear out and next thing u know it was gone too.  and then he was gone and that was that. at least for yesterday.

so that was my day diary, how was yours?

toodley-doo!

You absolutely HAVE to friend Cuddles Fur-Ever Home Page and scroll all the way down to the first week in July and see the video of Frankie - and also Linky the blind doxie who has a white halo he wears outside so he doesn't run into trees and stuff. Cool!!

Baxter that was so nice of you to leave some food out for mister turtle. Don't tell anyone that our Dad used to paint peace signs on the backs of turtles when he would catch them in the woods behind his house when he was a kid. It was the 70's and they were round, what else could you do?

We don't have much wildlife on the third floor.... oh.... nose, I forgot that once in a while we have one of those lizards -- the little ones. We live in Florida and they do come scurrying in when HH opens the door. We see maybe one a year. I would be in heaven if we had your backyard....

pawhugs and happy hunting, Baxter.

hee hee hee it sounds like i should miss keren! maybe i can watch them with dukduk n chocobot in lil pink puppy instead of bugs bunny cartoons tonight! :)

well miss mary anne & pia, i do not exactly know cuz dad says he looked at the entire fence surrounding our yard and he does not see a hole big enough for him to have come thru. but i am pretty sure mom did not bring him home what with the way she first screamed when she saw him cuz she did not know if he was a friendly turtle or a snapping one.

hee hee hee, so cool joey n maggie!! if we see him 2day i am so going to ask mom if we can paint a poopie snake on him. that way the other turtles will know he is our friend. well, u know, the kind of friend u can bark at!:)

max, have u ever seen an alligator? cuz i saw on tv that they live down there and heard that they might could even eat u so be very careful! did they teach in kittyscouts what to do if u come across an alligator or giant lizard thingy??

Thanks for the Pupscout Turtle Safety Tips Baxter!! I'll have to try to remember them if I ever come across one... do you think the same rules apply for squirrels?? Cause I do bark at them A LOT.
