dog on a hot wood deck

Even though summer doesn't officially start until June 20th this year, here at our house, with a little boy happily baking out back on the deck and the faint smell of roasted wiener dog gently perfuming the air, summer started yesterday.  :)

Oh oh... when I first saw the little pic on the blogger thingee... I thought this was a picture of a turkey...Oh...oh... maybe I shouldn't mention that, but then when you were talking about roasted wieners, I knew I could. What a warm and toasty place to nap. Have fun, Baxter.

pawhugs, Max

Too funny! Frankie loves to bake on the deck too. My hubby always says, "Do I smell bacon?" Cause her little butt sort of looks like a pig butt.

As Baxter's dermatologist - I hope he's got some sunscreen on that belly of his!!

P.S. Here in Chicago, we NEVER use ketchup on our wieners!! Just mustard, green relish, pickle, onions, celery salt, fresh tomatoes.... Oohh - an idea for a Chicago Halloweenie costume.

We are still waiting for the summer (in Finland). Snow is gone but it isn't warm yet. Nelli tries to find warm spots inside.
