school will be starting again in only five days and all me and duk duk can say is, sheesh! how time flies. and since we never got started on our summer adventure, we decided to do the next best thing - break the world record for most consecutive time spent on the sofa! well, okay, break the world record for most consecutive time spent on the sofa within the five day time period before school starts. well, for a dog and duk. not including poopie or pee breaks, or meal times or snackies. or any time we need to break for when the little misses come over to show us a toad or play with us. or if, u know, something else better comes along and well, u know, we need to break for that too. u know, like if mom wants to take us to the candy store or if chocobot and lil pink puppy and lulu the tiger come home from princess camp early, or if a meteor lands from the sky or, if a herd of elephants just happen to run thru our yard. u know, something. so, mostly, i guess me and duk duk are going to try and break the world record for most consecutive time spent on the sofa, as performed by a dog and duk, minus breaks and other things.

Kate would like to hold the Maryland title for this contest, but I find that it is the ideal time to clean out the toy box, the dog house, procure some great school supplies (they are sooo much fun.) So we compromise...some couch time, some get ready to roll time. We're thinking of you, Baxter and Duk!
Baxter, I am sorry your summer adventure never did take off. The couch time sounds better to me and probably safer too. I didn't like the idea of you traveling without mom because you are still young. You know still in school and stuff. :) Anyway you and duk duk have fun for what is left of summer days.
