snackies in the park

dear diary,
yippee skippee it was such a nice day out yesterday that not only did i get to show lulu the pet store where mom and dad get my kibble, but we went for a nice long walkie in a park that I have never been to before and we had a really swell time.

now, diary, it is only six o'clock in the evening as i write this because i wanted to finish before 2nite's pupjama party starts so i cannot tell u yet how much fun we had after our park walkies and pet store visit but i can tell u that while we were gone duk duk and chocobot went to the game store to pick up a certain wii that was being repaired on account of u know who spilling monkey chow milkshake all over it and yeah u know what we will be doing 2nite - minus the monkey chow milkshakes that is.

anyhoo, with any luck by the time u r reading this we will be on level 1956493 of scooby doo n shaggy's super haunted magic mystery bus adventures so if u need anything, it might have to wait until after we walk thru the hall of golden arches and find the magic key of mystery.

why hello mother. it is so nice 2 see u. no, i have not seen duk duk or chocobot or lulu the tiger or lil pink puppy. in fact, i have been working my homework just like u asked me to do an hour ago.i have already outlined three essays in my head and duk duk was going to help me write it all - wait, what was that? why am i wearing what, mom? :)

Mondays are always the least chumley centric days, it seems, and the little kielbasa knows it. Maybe it's because I get up earlier than usual, or at least try to, and our morning spooning is cut short. Or that I actually make an effort to de-hag and smell nice. uh, better. uh, wait. well, you get the idea. But whatever it is, by the time I open our bedroom door on a Monday morning, my little friend knows that today is not his day. And so he wanders off, most times to the office to seek the company of his dad, whom he knows he can count on to be there while I am away.






I can only imagine that Monday comes nowadays as bit of a let down for tiny chumley, still fresh from the hubbub of the weekend, when the three of us typically go for long walkies or just veg in front of the TV, or go for ride-ys or meet new friends like Lulu or Charlie. Or doin crazy stuff, like posing for pictures to help me illustrate some of the finer points of the dapper doxie dud measuring and fitting process.


Fret not, tiny chumley, today is Tuesday and the day is yours again.

yippee skippee! normally i do not write u twice in a day diary but i just found out that my friend lulu will be coming to visit 2night and spend the whole weekend  and of course u know what that means - pupjama party!!  and to make it extra fun u r invited too!!

just remember, it's byopjs (bring your own pup jammies) and there will be no mooshy yucky kissy kissin or anything like so of course it's going 2 be fun fun fun! 

okay i have to clean my beds now and put away my toys and start making monkey chow milkshakes so i will talk 2 u later! :)

gee duk duk, now that we are home from school,  it sure stinks that we have to wait until it is dark before we can go trick or treating.

 

 i mean, who even made up that rule? if u n me were in charge of trick or treating, u can bet it would start first thing in the morning and last all day. maybe two days even, and we would get so many gummy worms that  swedish fish would jump right into our treat wagon without even trying.

 

what's that duk duk? yeah, it is too bad chocobot n lulu the tiger n lil pink puppy all drew the short straws and have to stay home and help mom n dad pass out candy. but at least me and u can go out and we can collect enough candy for all of us!  

 

(sigh)  lemme get up and see what time it is now. what? three o seventy clock?  sheesh that's like a whole nother four nine and gazillion seconds to go...

it seemed like things were going nowhere, but then i had an idea. "hey hmom, hdo u hrememberr hwhat hwe talkedth habout hearlier? hafter the hfirth bunny? hif u hlet me do hthat hthen i hwill hrop it.  do hew haff a hdeal?"

and that, my friends, ends the reenactment portion of our #trueWolfStories for today. thank u anton the little lion for volunteering to play the role of bunny numero dos. 

now duk duk, if you would pull the blinds so we can start the video portion of our - what's that, lil pink puppy? oh yeppies the second bunny i caught was like a whole week older so naturally it was bigger, just like anton here. it was probably my biggest catch to date as a wolf, really. i know, so impressive, right?  and, yeppies it hopped away, back into the periwinkle patch where i cannot tinkle in for the next few weeks because mom says they need to get bigger and smarter.   any more questions?

well, lulu the tiger, u see, me and duk duk pretty much knew mom would never let us record and post what we really would want to if i ever caught a bunny and gave it the real wolf treatment, so we came up with a discreet but awesome design we could use to post a picture of my wolfy success facebook and instagram, and we came up with a plan on how we could make a video that would pretty much capture the essence of what we know would happen when a wolf uknowhats a bunny, without it, being, well u know, too #rawwwry. so mom agreed to let us do all that. speaking of which, without further ado, please now enjoy the video portion of our #trueWolfStories.  Ladies and gentlewolves, me and duk duk present to u, guts and glory. :)

dear diary,
today i finally got to meet lulu's mom's new puppy and my new doxie puppy friend, hank! hank is now twelve weeks old and weighs five pounds and needless to say he is a real squeebert and neither of us could stay still long enough for pictures, so i decided to show you some videos from our first brunchmas playdate, which i figured u might want to see again and again and again so i posted them as viney videos.  all in all we had a lot of fun and the little misses came over and held him and everything! next time we visit together i think i will ask mom if she will make me a shark proof body suit because, well, let's just say that puppy teeth? well they are a whole lot sharper than u would think they are. especially when they are latched on to u like a crab on a finger, or in my case, a puppy on your neck meat.

anyhoo shark suit or not, i sure hope me and hank can get together and play again soon.  i have not yet seen his poopie snakes although mom says they are little peanuts, which would be a nice addition to our collection.

well, seeing as how me and duk duk  are over half way thru our summer vacation and have not done anything super duper exciting yet, we thought maybe we can use your credit card to buy inter dimensional travel tickets so we can visit chocobot and lulu the tiger and lil pink puppy. or, well, what with the virus variants, maybe we could just buy an autogyro and fly there ourselves. or maybe we could just buy eleventy hundred pounds of gummy worms and zoomie call with them. but it all starts with your credit card so maybe i can help u find it? :)

Tiny chumley is rapidly becoming the old gent of our neighborhood, surrounded by big, rambunctious yearling pups full of youthful - and perhaps what he likes least -  unpredictable exuberance.  The kind of exuberance that can accidentally bonk the head of an unsuspecting little wolf, or roll his sausagey body in the grass, like a tumbleweed in the wind.

There was a time not so long ago when Baxter was the dopey yearling who needed to be taught lessons on boundaries and place by the likes of Lulu and others in her generation. Now, with little white hairs migrating to his paws and slowly turning them into little white socks, it is his turn to become the teacher and pass along that knowledge.   But it is a job I know he would rather leave for another day. :)


uh, nopies mom, we do not need 2 go for walkies with either cassie or that dopey labradoodlepoodle roscoe from across the street.  besides, don't we have 2 get ready for tonitey nite's #tgidiscoFriday 11 PM EST teeny tiny doxie treasure box doot? we posted a picture of the litter and everything already. :)

yesterday i had a really fun day but i will have to tell you about it another time because today is mother's day and me and duk duk and chocobot and lulu the tiger and lil pink puppy are busy trying to figure out how to wrap mom's surprise present that we got her before dad finishes making the monkey chow pancakes.  i hope one of us grows thumbs pretty quickly because those pancakes smell really good.

gee, it's too bad i cannot help mom model it today on accout of us turning ourselves into tiny plastic toys so we could skip school. but even if i could, it is so small that i would only be able to wear it on my head. but maybe if we are lucky frank's mom will send us a picture of him wearing it on their big day, right duk duk?  oooh, i know - even though i cannot help her in the way i normally do, maybe we can help package it up for her! let's do that,  and then go outside to play before it is time to pick up chocobot and lulu the tiger and lil pink puppy.  now that we are small, i bet our poopie snakes will look ginormous!

Even though hundreds of miles separate us, I am happy at least that video chatting affords me the opportunity to check in on my big and tiny boyfriends, and hear all about what's going on in their happy little world.

...and then, mom, lulu said i stinked,  and so, i said  -  (whispers)  come closer so u can hear me bcuz she is right under the desk  -  i said, thank you very much! and now u go stink over there with chocobot n lil pink puppy bcuz me n duk duk have to work on our secret christmas list for santa claus  but when we are done,  we will all play poops n ladders!! :)

A wiener dog festival full of happy distractions is hardly the best place to get two little punkins like Baxter and his friend Lulu to cooperate in posing for pictures, but luckily, sometimes all you need is a little kibble to make the perfect recipe for cheese. :)

dear diary,
after all the fun i had yesterday, i am pretty certain that the best way to spend a sunday afternoon is at wiener dog festival in the company of friends, especially if they are new friends with moms sitting on the ground whose pockets are full of snackies, or new friends who stink but stink in a way that says, please smell me more, and your new friends actually let you. even if u never did get their names.

yesterday at the festival was also swell because  i got to catch up with old friends, like cricket n pepper, who i did not get to see or smell for very long because,  boo hoo,  they had to leave early and, well, i got there late, and like jewel and quintin, whom i had never really met before but i felt like i met them because i got to model their duds.  quintin and i caught up on everything stink and snackie related...

 
while jewel had a fine time with a nice tummy rub from my dad.

i also met up with my friend lulu, which i can tell you more about tomorrow because with first my uncle skritchy being in town and then with all the fun i had at the festival and all, i sorta forgot about doing my calculus homework til now and apparently i am going to need the toes on all my paws to help with some of the problems teacher assigned us.  so for now i must bid you a fond..
